To the people that say this dinos roar needs a buff that would make this dinos way op and the yurts needs some thing it is hard to tame and you tame it for the buff each dino has a pupuse a buff roar is just not for the rex

Really easy to tame just take some tranq darts and a tapejara and sit on the side of a cliff and tranq it

Man I found the best Rex lvl 2 btw I'm on offline ez mode (don't judge me :c) and I wanned to trank it and then realized that the rex wasn't full health it was going after those bronto abominations I forgot what they were called and it died Press F To Pay Respects and I can't find another rex

The Tek Bow is by far the most effective tool to knock out a rex just wait about five seconds between each shot so your not wasting and element shards.

Who knew you could use boomerang to knock out 168 tek rex.hows that make sense ark has gone crazy

Find a way out. I’m fairly new to the game and I desired to explore everywhere to fill my map, big mistake. A titanboa just killed me and I decided to spawn somewhere new in the medium hard section. I walked along the beach and their was not one but two Rexes killing dodos , no problem I just ran the other way but out of no where another Rex came out the tree line, I can’t Leave the beach because theirs a bunch of raptors that I had saw and I tried to go into the Water but as soon as I went under I saw a megalandon not to far away. Right now I’m stuck next to a rock trying to wait the three Rexes out.

I tamed mine when I was looking for a star o in a nearby lake and it scared me, so I led it back to my base walls to tame it. It didn’t attack me because it was too busy nomming on my walls

The easiest way to kill these buds is to go up onto a mountain (a high one..) with a flying mount, or, find how to get up the mountain. Get out your gun, and start shooting. Takes 3 to 4 hits to kill. If your low leveled and see this... RUN or if u don’t have a gun, RUN

These guys are honestly super easy if you have an Argy with decent stam. Just pick up a Parasaur of something likewise an carry it to get the Rex’s attention to follow you into a trap.

You don’t really need a trap just get on a cliff

Is it just me or do you guys rage and smash ur keyboard whenever you accidentally leave your level 300 giga on passive and you log on and it has died to a level 1 Rex. RIP ps5 I'm sorry for chopping you with a hatchet. 😞

How to tame a rex:

1. First, you need to bring 4 stone dinosaur gates. And a large bear trap.

2. Place 3 of the gates (in this shape \_/) and the large bear trap inside them.

3. After you've found a rex, lure it and get it stuck in the trap.

4. After the rex is stuck in the trap, quickly place the fourth gate to prevent the rex from escaping.

5. Now knock the rex out with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

6. After the rex is knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

You can also do the exact same thing to tame a giganotosaurus, but with metal gates.

Look for CaptainFatdog on YouTube, he makes super cheap traps that are accessible way earlier than all these overpriced versions. You can tame pretty much anything as soon as you get access to stone, aswell as rexes! His rex trap is literally 14 pillars, its cheap and easy to put up 👍

Got my first max level male Rex on 'the island' today, leveled it up to 45k health and 2k% dmg. Looking for max female then will try to lvl her up to around the same, then go for my first boss fight with the megapithecus.

Knockout A Rex

Then your Rex was killed by a dilophosaur

Step 1:Get Prime Meat

Step 2:Get A High Ground

Step 3:Shoot With Dart

Step 4:Give it Prime Meat/Kibble When It's unconscious

Step 5:Done.

Go to the eastest side of the map at that tail of land around in the south and at this location about the only place where rex can spawn in the south trust me

Place down 3 stone gateways and a large beartrap in the middle. Let the Rex walk in there and then place a forth gateway behind the Rex.

Don’t forget with the new TLC #1 update its roar now makes Dino’s and riders I believe poop creating a unique chance to get the first attack!
