Pretty easy to tame when you have the correct equipment, but extremely useful creatures. Get yourself a reasonably sized tame hole with 3 high stone walls, ramp on one side, door on the opposite and a dinosaur gate (worked for spino's as well) for the end... If your movement speed is good enough lead it into the tame hole, run out the other side and shoot it with tranq darts until it's down. Keeps you safe without much stress during the entire taming process, and is even better if the hole is close to your base along with the Rex's themselves. We currently have 6 within our tribe... One of the best tames to have imo.

No your options if u do not have a quetzal to use and knock it out find a cliff and drag the Rex over with either a Dino of yours or hit it with a tranq if u are high enough u will get to shoot it without home hitting u

I think you should consider a Spino before a Rex as Spino is better for prime runs. It can easily get prime for taming the Rex

If you have a tamed argy just shoot it in the face with tranqs have a buddy hold you over it and ko that guy

Get your slingshot out and just run pick up rocks and keep pelting it with rocks

You just shoot it with trancs and knock it out.

You want this big boi? well we need preperation in the base first, RESOURCES:

Alot of tranq darts with a longneck rifle, Some behemoth gateways and gates, Prime meat or eXtRoIdOnArY kibble, some knowlege on taming traps, and a bait unless you use yourself, AND OF COURSE the rex tek saddle or rex saddle.

And there you have it folks! A tamed rex for you to control.

Really simple strategy if playing on extinction

1: Tame Tapejara and get a friend

2: Find Rex you want to tame

3: Hover over Rex with Tapejara and make sure you have your friend on tapejara

4: Have friend shoot Rex with tranqs while you fly on tapejara

The spino does more damage but this is better spino is pure f##KING s##t at combat meanwhile the Rex does good damage and good health their normal health when wild is higher than the bronto it's like the sword and shield of ark being incredibly reliable for late game and supremely powerful for midgame so this is a tank build for ark players despite being weaker than the giga this thing is still the first thing we turn to in boss fights what also make it good is that there are things more power full than it but still considered the best

easiest & cheapest way to tame these guys is to have a pretty tanky mount which you can shoot off the back from. i usually play on max level 300, though, so most creatures are pretty tanky. i use a bary/deinon, since they are fast and you can escape whenever you need to. very easy tame if you know what you’re doing

What I found easy was

Find a high level diplo

Knock it out

Put all stats into health

Find preferred rex

Use diplo as tank

Make sure area is clear before dismounting the diplo

fire away at rex

Admittedly I was using a mastercraft bow

(Mobil) I am playing on hard and I happen to stumble across a level 290 so I go back to my base to pick up a trap and later I use 7 stone gate ways and two large bear traps and it worked like a charm!

I found a low lvl rex I tamed it and now I'm unstoppable and I breed him with my friends rex now I have 5 rexes I even killed a lvl 180 giga

U can freeze any creature with snow owl and trap it with bill board works with all creature tried it with yuty rex theri stego megatherium even gigas this way u can trap any land creature

Ok do you guys think a brontosaurus 2 diphlos 6 raptors a trike pharasor and a sacorosaninas will kill level five alpha Rex /I call him spicey Rex I will probably have more dinos by then wish me luck😇

So to fight it for it’s hands trap on it in rocks then shoot pheromone dart on it and let everything kill it or just kill it with another rex

Here’s something cool on mobile. Once you get a Rex to run from you, you can go back to it later and it it sees you it will run again. How to tame one my way: get tranq arrows and just shoot it down. Or just use tranq darts. Shoot it, run, shoot run, FUN AF it like playing tag. REX DONT SWIM THEY SINK
