Make sure you have spears. At least 3. If your on the beach low level and it sees you run into the water. There is a point where it wont go any further and turn around. You can stay safely out of the way and sink down where it cant bite you while thrusting your spear up at it and killing it. I have done it a total of 7 times. Beware though because alpha raptors dont care and they will swim and attack no matter how far out you go

Get on medium to large creture it will not be able to pounce on you it will do the animion but on top of your Dino and it can’t do dmg

To pack bost press the same buttons as if you were pack boosting deinonychus

If you wanna tame a raptor this tip is for you.

1.Get 8-12 meat.

2.Craft 10 bola (in case a squad of raptor will attack or in case you miss).

3.Craft 3 bat or 2 slingshot (in case it breaks).

4.bola the raptor you want.

5.Use bat or slingshot to unconscious it.

6.Put some meat in the raptors inventory. If it's close to waking up feed it some narcoberries or narcotics.

BOOM! now you have your own tamed raptor.

Bola the raptor get tranqs, and a club put meat in him (or kibble) make a saddle.

The new pounce ability pins dinos. I use it to tame small critters like phiomia and dilo.

These things are really strong if you just started at a new server.

Pump weight speed and health. When going out from base keep some meat in raptors inventory. Very useful for going to far away places due to their high speed. Do not try to fight alphas with raptors, they don't do good against alphas.

With the pounce ability this Dino can make a great mount for collecting small amounts of meat.

They can and will chase down down Parasaurs which makes them useful for collecting hide.

When encountering an alpha take out the raptors first then get a strong Dino to take out the alpha, it’s useful for prime meat

Very easy to tame with a bola. I tamed a lv. 63 with lv. 8

It‘s a good meet farmer too.

You can easily take out these stickers with a tranq arrow or 2 (crossbow)

High vantage point atop rocks boulders etc . Sword kills with one clean slice . Allow them access to you from one direction always keep your back safe and unacceptable. The mighty sword is thier demise.
