This is the fastest, and cheapest way of taming a raptor (although it is kind of risky):

1)Find one raptor all on its own. (you can try to tame multiple at once if you feel like a badass)

2)Shoot a rock at it and make it aggro on you.

3)Bola it while it's running straight at you.

4)Once you did that, go behind it and punch it's butt with a club or shoot stones at it's face.

5)Feed some meat and narcs.

They are an extremely useful tame for early game and this metod is very good for when you don't want to level up to get it's saddle. You can use them to get quick meat or as your personal body guard.

1.collect raw meats

2.craft a bola

3.search for a raptor

4.throw a bloa to its face

5.punch it in its back until its knocked

6.put in the inventory the raw meat

7.wait

9.SUCCESS

Find a group of raptor. Bola all of it and use spear and kill the lowest level raptors and make sure the raptors are bola safe. Bola it like 3 or 2 times. If u have tranq arrows it will probably take 2 to 4. It depends on how high the lvl is. Make sure no stupid thing interrupts your taming.

The easiest way to tame a Raptor is to bolo it and keep tranqing it every 4 seconds throw a bolo they brake out of them easily

What I did is all u gotta do is bola it get some toxicant arrows and shoot 2 at it then it’s unconscious then get meat and it’s tamed

Use a bola and attack it from behind to tame.

My first raptor tame was easy and all I needed was meat ( any kind but fish meat personally ) and a bola or more i case you miss .

For the Halloween dinosaur the skeletal raptors will eat you and everything you love. My lvl 200 Saber was no match for a lvl 20 skeletal raptor be warned.up this so people see

I say wildcard should make a tek saddle for this in ark 2 if it it has tek that makes this faster and gives it a small mini gun on it as well as a increased weight thing on it.

My most hated creature in ark is easily this guy. Encountering these dudes at the lower levels almost means immediate death

I’ve noticed that a traqr arrow knocks it out like 2 seconds. You only need one for a level up to 19 I think.

To be honest, just always have multiple bolas on you if possible and these guys shouldn’t be to much of an issue.

Shift+W+spamming space bar= travelling the lslands at the speed of light… oh and their damage is good too i guess…

If you see an alpha, then run immediately! They will kill you in seconds if they reach you. Run to water; they cannot or will not (I don't know which) swim downwards. If one attacks you at close range, you are as good as dead. They have 15 times health and extra damage and cannot be knocked out or tamed. Normal raptors also can't swim down, so if you can't kill it, then it's time for a swim!

It is a bigger stronger and a pain in the ass because they have a homeade thyacoleo jump so when i had encounterd one i traveled with stego in the early game ever since because they can not knock you of a stego.

I was walking with my raptor (Level 30).I was walking in the forest for hunting,and then I saw a rex! I was scared because the trex was level 50,and then I fight with the rex.but the rex was very strong and then my raptor died. I felt angry and then I kill the rex with my shotgun. I was very sad because the raptor was very dear to me.His name is might.(rip might)

LITERALLY THE MOST ANNOYING CREATURE!!! SERIOUSLY KILLED MY NEARLY TAMED REX!!!

How to tame a Raptor

Resources needed:

Bolas (being more if needed)

Bow with tranq arrows (bring more if needed)

Meat or prime meat (if your lucky)

Narcotics

And of course.. Love

Step 1

Find a raptor, if there's more than 1 then either you bait it away or kill it

Step 2

Approach Raptor and throw the bola to it

Step 3

Use bow with tranq arrows and keep hitting until ko

Step 4

Feed raptor with meat and keep an eye out on the torpor meter by feeding it with narcotics because once it gets to zero then the raptor will wake up

Step 5

Wait and defend the raptor, especially from annoying pests like dilos and other Raptors

Step 6

Other tips:

Narcotics are made with narcoberries and rotten meat.

Raptors can pounce on raptors and smaller prey.

Raptors have an extremely fast attack speed.

Raptors run fast.

Raptors get a pack bonus when there is more than 3 Raptors.

Annoying pest but once tamed then life gets good

All tek variant creatures drop the same amount of resources, although parasaurs are tempting because they are weak and passive, raptors are smaller and therefore much efficient for tek farms
