I think that they prefer fish meat over regular meat. I had fish meat in one of my raptors inventory and he was eating that instead of the regular meat. I have not tried taming one with fish meat but they might prefer it.

So there are average raptors. They drop meat and hide. There are tek raptors. They drop scrap metal, oil, electronics, and element dust. There are alpha raptors. Alphas always spawn near my spawn and I get rid of them by finding them eating an animal they killded and then shooting them in the head from far away and they don't agro u if ur far enough.

raptor usaully spawn in forests and you can bola them they have low torpor. if they are in a pack you can kill with a bow far away they are pretty weak. if you have one you can use it for taming running and sometimes hunting small dinos such like dilo or even a carbo

Use a bola and punch him until he is knocked out.

If you have enemies, get a pack of raptors to chase you and run to their base. Your enemies won't have a clue you've been there

The easyest way to tame is bola it then nick it out with a sling shot

If your investing in hunting raptors (it's good to tame them aswell) then I recommend you bola it and the spear it to death... or arrow it......or...uhhh bull-et it to.. uhh death.. yah know what just kill it with whatever you have.be smart and use certain weapons depending on its level.

When your walking around in ark always carry at least one bola. There good for taming small to medium creechers. There also great hunting and and defense. For instance, "you ever been just walking around and a random raptor, dire wolf, saber tooth, or scorpion comes out and attacks you. There nock back or movements make it hard to get away." You can keep a bola on you and use it for just Such an accession. This in also just about the only way to check there level without them seeing you assuming you don't have a telescope.
