I have a Question. After taming one of these, do they continue only eating mushrooms? Or do they start eating berries? Because mine died, how? I dont know. I’m guessing it either starved or was killed but anyways, up if they continue eating mushrooms and leave it at 0 if they also eat berries after being tamed.

These are kind of hard to tame, because they are passive and you can’t bola them. Here’s how to tame them: you’ll need 4 Billboards, for the first method metal ones are better, but wooden ones are better for the second method. First method: If there are no other creatures nearby, you can use a rare flower to lure it into a large bear trap so you can trap it with 4 Billboards and knock it out. Second method: If there are other creatures nearby, follow the procoptodon until it stops, then try to build 4 billboards around it to trap it and knock it out. Wooden billboards work for this method because the procoptodon won’t try to attack you.

Everyone makes taming things so much harder than it needs to be. Shoot it let it leave render, follow shoot repeat til it drops. This works with so many dinos as once out of render they stop.

I don't know what everyone is saying about these guys being in island, I didn't see a single one and my base was on a redwood tree and was there for like 85 days. And within 5 minutes on scorched I saw one. And also just save yourself the trouble of taming the adults I would recommend killing the mom and stealing the baby.
