I have seen some people ask where to find em you have to go away from the shoreline and keep going down the only thing you will find In the blank sea is a few megs and ichys

If you grab one with a tuso you can have a friend knock it out and you won’t loose taming effectiveness

He is really slept on he is strong he is really fast and he has the platform saddle i think he should be tamed more

its pretty easy if its a low level i recommend if you want to tame a low level use a ichthy but uf its a high level you need a harpoon gun and a low level need a crossbow.

There is a group of them by herbivore island, but watch out for the Tuso(giant squid)

Baryonyx are very good for knocking them out since you can shoot off them

If you’re on Genesis, get it to run into a bubble. Then it’s very easy to knock out.

Its damage comes from its head, so when fighting while mounted to a plesiosaur needs an aiming and distance as it's very long neck makes hitting very hard to aim not like itchy, megalodon etc. When a wild dino comes very near, reposition yourself as you won't damage them with the plesiosaurs body

They spawn in groups so if you see one know there's more close by

When you find 2 or more plesiosaurs, more than likely since they spawn this way, you should kill the one you dont want with an ichthyosaurus or a strong ocean mount, then use its prime meat to tame the other one. prime meat is very effective (10-20% taming percent for most) so I'd suggest doing this.

I found 4 at once on mobile, near the north east island and killed all 4 with my itchyosauraus

How to get high quality plesi platform saddles on mobile:

Head into the yeti cave (tame one of the wolves in the cave to do this). There is a big room with a bunch of snow covered platforms. One of the platforms has a red cave drop, and that drop’s loot includes Plesi platform saddles. I ran the cave ~100 times and got 2 ascendent plesi platform saddles and 2 other plesi platform saddle blueprints but I don’t even have a plesi yet lol.

Always, always, make sure you bring at least a couple of oxygen tanks when taming one. If you unfortunately knock one out near the bottom of the ocean, it is a pain to tame when your tank breaks....

Use a deinosuchus to swim down in between blue and redwoods in the center. (ASA) Then use giga bite to kill lo plesiosaur. Then just swim up shooting narco until it goes back down. Repeat until knocked out, and make sure to have prime and many narcotic or biotoxin. When tamed they sim really fast and have a platform saddle. I hope this helped you with taming a plesiosaur.

How to keep it unconscious spam bio toxin

A very good mule and mount, and an essential part of your navy. It is extremely fast with very good HP and weight. Decent melee and huge AOE on their attack makes them great against groups of mantas/sharks. I would focus on levelling hp and weight, with some melee, and if you are mounting it, sharks can sorta keep up with you as escorts. Good way to hunt alphas.

Tip: If you're struggling to hit your target, trust the AOE; stop moving and spam left click. You will want to be slightly above everything. Everything, sharks, dolphins, mantas, will immediately die, but you will also tank their hits beforehand.
