Tips & Strategies

What are tips for plesiosaur? Tips and strategies for plesiosaur in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
The method i used was to aggro him and use a Basilosaurus(big whale) and go to the surface where he will just keep reggening and while the plesiosaur is focused on my Basilosaurus i just get out my crossbow and pelt him with arrows
They look like backwards mosas.
To the person who said theres no underwater caves in ark mobiles, you’re wrong. I’m on mobile and I have a base set up in an underwater cave in single player, so that means there are udnerwater caves and you we’re wrong..

If you don't have SCUBA gear yet, use lazarus chowder! It helped me so much when I tamed mine. I could stay underwater and not worry about dying! Highly reccomend lazarus chowder, it doesn't take much to make, too.
Use something fast that you can use weapons on like a icthy or a sarco than make kill off the ones you don’t want to tame than make one chase you up to where they will start running because you’re too high than it might glitch and go to the surface and pelt it with tranqs.(ur welcome)
These soak tranqs that’s all I’m going to say
If you're on the Center there's multiple spots where plesiosaurs are glitched and can't move. One is at the redwood forest shoreline near a rock and the other is somewhat in the center islands underwater. The second one has one on top of the other so kill one or tame both.
It’s easy to tame one with a tuso. Grab it and carry it to the surface, with your character above the water, and the plesiosaur below. It will not attack you because it’s not in the deep sea. Wait a bit in till it’s knocked out. Have fun with you super fast tame.🦖
I was traveling on willie, my basilo, to get some more oil. Whilst avoiding those stupid eels, one of these bad boys rose from the depths and chased me. I checked the app, and apparently they eat Rex kibble. I had two of those and a soothing balm from the Artifact of the Hunter, so I went. I used the scuba tank that I got from my outpost, grabbed my bow (323% confound bow from a free shop gift) and 28 toxicant arrows. I missed a few, but it only took 4 arrows to take out. Popped in the kibble and balm, and she was mine. A level 11 only took 1 piece (its reaaal). I named her Nessy, and now I have my first good deep-sea tame!
The most common place to find these guys is in the crystal isles in the Northwest corner of the map
diplodocus of the sea no one can change my mind since they use their heads for fighting hahaha
He us relativly easy to tame, first one i got was level 15, i used accendant compound bow, with tranq arrows, 10 arrows and it was down, simple, but for a higher level one, place a revival platform in deep ocean, sartound it with walls, stone, metal ect, and revive it, it will take more arrows, lets say 40 if you have a bow as good as mine
Anyone else think that the plesi looks like a backwards mosa. Its neck and head makes it look like the mosas tale and its tale looks like the mosas head. Like the bronto that was only a misplaced brachiosaurus neck and tale, this is why the brontosaurus is not an actual dino
Just taned a 150 with 410 melee on valguero
A little difficult to tame but definitely worth it! I 100% recommend getting a plesiosaur I tamed a lvl 10 and its stats were very high! But if there're more than one make sure to kill one or separate them!
Mutton consumption is WAY off, BRING MORE MUTTON THAN RECOMMENDED
