Very useful for material runs. It lets you know when enemies are near by allowing you to avoid dangers

I see too many tek parasaurs on the island

If your a new ARK player…here’s how I tamed one

1. Hit it with you fist and chase it

2. After you made it unconscious feed it with any kinds or berries

3. Just grab more berries and feed to it it may take a while

4.there you go you got yourself a parasaur

Parasaurs can be set on turret mode and will look for enemy players or tames and alert you of them. This can be very useful if you have many of them around the entire map. A message wil then pop up saying:

“(Name of Dino) detected an enemy” and a red dot will appear at their location. You can name your Parasaur something like “Redwoods” or “beach” so you will now where the enemy is even at long distances.

How to tame a parasaur the easy way!

Step 1: find a parasaur

Step 2: hit it and lead it to a rock bigger than it so it gets stuck

Step 3: keep hitting it till it gets knocked out

Step 4:once knocked out feed berries and now you have a parasaur

When joining an ark this is a herbivore that you may want to go for. Early game it's not bad for getting berries and thatch.a solid Freind that won't let you down unless there's literally any carnivore around.

Will tide you over untill you get literally any other herbivore.

Want to knockout this guy and tame fast? Just find a low level then 1 tranq arrow will do or some slingshots then feed and bwahla you got your own parasaur

These guys are amazing starter mounts,especially now as they have this new well ability the turret mode and the ability to make medium sized creatures flee! They are also decent berry and thatch collectors for beginner thatch building.

You need rockarrot instead of longrass to make its kibble. I guess you could use longrass but it is easier to obtain rockarrots.

While not the fastest reptile in the kingdom, Parasaurs are still a trusty mount. Whatever trouble you may find yourself in, you can count on a parasaur to get you out. I like to think of them as very large, reptilian horses. Wether it is resource gathering or just a simple joyride, parasaurs will get it done.

A good tame for starters. Always gets stuck, easy to knock out and easy to tame. They may be weak, they may be slow,but make good pets and cheap berry collecters.

So, from personal experience I'm going to make a beginner walkthrough after years of playing.

So first, you want to make sure there are no hostile creatures around. Generally where you tame them there are none, but there sure are a lot of raptors at the Lost Island place for taming them. They WILL kill the parasaur AND YOU as soon as you knock it out. Either said taming them here altogether or bring a good ptera and kill them.

So once you have made sure there are no hostile creatures, this is what you'll wanna do. Craft a bola, maybe multiple if it's a high level. Bring a club and maybe even a few tranq arrows and a bow.

Bola the parasaur, and then hit it with the club, as fast as you can before the bola comes off. Eventually this will knock it out, and you can feed it berries. You might want to bring a few narcoberries. Mejoberries are recommended for levels.

Now, you've tamed a parasaur! Once it's tamed, you still have to make sure it doesn't die. You should probably bring another tame in order to keep it safe, or just pump all it's levels into speed and stamina.

Just like the turtle's of ark a Para is like a preserving ben just shorter timer

Not only is it fast and a decent berry harvester, it has a sort of echolocation ability that locates aggressive creatures. Very useful if you're in low visibility areas.

Bola it, then shoot it with an arrow once, then knock it out with a club.

Parasaurs can out swim raptors and dillos so you can avoid death in the early game

The parasaur is a really helpful tame for gathering berries in the early game but it’s also very helpful in PVP because of it’s special ability to seek out enemy’s and you can just leave your base to get resources and it will tell you if your parasaur saw an enemy at your base and you can act quickly.

They aren't that hard to tame what I did was hit it when not let it get away and wait till it got suck on something

And then just give them some food

Paradaur seem to have a better chance to collect seeds for vegetable crops.

1. Find parasaur.

2. Bola it.

3. Feed berries.

Well done you just got a parasaur.
