Encountering Tips

How do I kill a overseer? overseer battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
What I think would be best not just for the overseer but the tek cave in general, bring 10 rexes, 10 megatheriums, 9 therizinos, 10 spinos, 1 otter completely leveled up in melee, 2 yutys both on auto courage, 4 mammoths (make sure all herbivores have at least 5-10 veggie cakes in their inventory), 3 daeodons, 1 dodo. Level them all up to 50k health, 7k melee. First lead all the rexes alone to the terminal and leave the rest of the army next to the closed door on the inside, the rexes will clear the path. Then go back to the door, leaving behind the Rexes at the terminal, lead the yutys, mammoths, and daeodons to the terminal while holding the dodo. Then go back and lead the megatheriums to the terminal. Then do the same with the therizinos. Repeat one last time with the spinos. Got everyone at the terminal? Good. Now time to fight the overseer. Be sure to do all this with your otter equipped for insulation. Lead all your animals to the fight and enable passive healing on the daeodons, then send everyone to fight the overseer. The Rexes will finish the megapithecus, the megatheriums and spinos will finish the Broodmother, (make sure you yutys are on passive, they are there for their courage roar) the therizinos and rhinos will finish the dragon, and the mammoths will use indimidation on enemies. If you followed everything correctly, you should defeat the overseer with zero casualties.
for people who first played ark (and noob cheaters) heres where to find it:
After you defeat all three other bosses and get their head trophies, go to the volcano and you'll see a terminal put the heads in and a wall will open up revealing 'the tek cave' the final cave and dont forget to bring a bunch of rexes cause there is a garantied giga at the end of the cave also it's very hot and then at on part it switches to very cold then at the end theres an other terminal press e for pc and y for xbox then youll be teleported to 'the observation deck get through there looking at all the cool stuff there and then youll see an implant that's what youre going to fight

this fight is super dangerous bring 20 rexes 2 daodons 10 theris and a yuti to ride on good luck
At first glance this diamond shaped boss seems harmless until the fight begins. But why is this boss a diamond? What’s the point of this boss? Why is it a diamond shape? Well thats what I’m here to talk about! So let’s get into it!
As we all know, this is the final boss of the island, as well as the only ticket to ascension upon beating it. So what might we not know? Some people are just there for the win, however some dig deep for answers, but to understand this boss you must consider why the boss is there in the first place. And it’s name “overseer” is also a way of classifying “one who over sees the rest”, having this in mind it’s job and reasoning for being there is quite simple. But why does it do this? The ARK’s themselves (to simplify, think of them as realistic environment’s orbiting in space, with a self generated atmosphere, running into the barrier of the map is basically running into the atmosphere/forcefield also preventing leaving) cannot watch every survivor’s actions, hence why the overseer is there in the first place. Now knowing this let’s consider what is considered an action worth “punishment” by the Arks standards.
Being punished by an ark is no walk in the park, corruption, and trying to cheat the way through arks are considered punishment worthy. But why wasn’t Rockwell, or nerva punished? Since Arks are they’re own thing, we can assume they have some standards of which they draw the line. So let’s discuss this! -in case I run out of text be sure to search for the rest!- since nobody was really punished in this ark, we have to dig deep to find out why. And one theory I have is that the Arks would rather not interfere with functioning tribes. This would make sense as Nerva had a tribe, and Rockwell documented jumping from tribe to tribe. And during this time Rockwell wasn’t as corrupt as he was, therefore wasn’t punishment worthy. Nerva worked his way to power, so no reasonable way of punishment would be necessary. So now let’s talk about it’s soul purpose of being there.
So why is he there? We discussed one reason why, but it has another way more important task, upon fighting it it usually takes the shape of a diamond very similar to the obelisk diamond. This would mean either the overseer is a well respected unit by the Arks, or the Arks made it as this is the most common shape Arks use. Or both. Anyways, after a bit of fighting it then takes the shape of the 3 bosses fought previously to get here. Why does it do this? It does this to challenge the survivor, it’s soul purpose, it’s there to determine if the survivor is truly ready to ascend, and upon beating him, it dissolves out of existence, before summoning itself back in wait of the next survivor. Upon defeating it, the Ark gets you to ascend, to scorched earth.
Take your best reaper with maxed out stats on health and melee and he’s screwed
(Fighting the actual boss fight). A Tek suit and shot gun can do this boss fight fairly easy. You could use the federation Tek suit from Gen 2, stay high or far enough away from the boss and you should be fine (if you do get hit you will be one shotted, I got hit with the normal primitive Tek suit and it one shot all the armor). The little drones don't do that much damage, and if you use a catus broth it helps a ton with those. Need a +200 shotgun just like with the brood mother and Rockwell with +500 ammo to be safe. It is VERY cold down there bring soups, MED BREWS, otter, or whatever for the cold. Using the shotgun I highly recommend the shadow steak to shoot farther and recoil ( yes shotgun does shoot farther with it I have tested it). Tek suit I didn't even use 100 element. I did it with two or three other people to do it faster. Just know you lose all the elements that you take with you after the fight because you are thrown into upload afterwards. Good luck. You can't fly your Tek suit through the entrance cave use a desmodus and cryo it when you get through the nasty part.
Bring tek gear rexes and yutys and daeodons and your best allos
Can solo alpha with a wing suit a tek suit with fur on too (2nd part only) and a couple of good shotguns and ammo
Breeding high level rexes and bringing them through the Tek Cave helped me and my tribe wonders. Most of them died along the journey and we only had our mounts when we got to the Hall of History, so make sure you have some rexes in Cryopods as well.
Now this goes for any boss battle, but make sure that you have multiple daedons so that they can heal each other
You fight this to realize you are in a loop and will be teleported back
20 rexes, 15 theris, 2 daeodon, 30 allos, 1 yuti, check check check check and check. Oooh I also shouldn't forget assult rifles, snipers, pump-actions, tek rifles and railguns, medical and riot/tek gear
Giant ball that I’ve never beat in boss battle
Just being 2 dodos and a prayer
For the easiest fight, use 2 people on good carchas to clear the whole beginning cave, everyone else can follow (on foot or in a mount doesn’t matter). Then cryo everything, and everyone going into the final fight needs a tek chest piece a shotgun some med brews and some element. Just hover and shoot the boss until it dies. Divide 4000 shells between everyone and you will have enough ammo to finish the fight. The beginning cave is also the best place to farm giga hearts for running the dragon boss if you need element. You just need to use a carcha to kill everything in the cave, then run back to the entrance (the door will be closed by now), cryo the carcha, then kill yourself. It won’t use up your tributes to open the door so you can use the same tributes to re open the door and collect your kit as long as you put them in a storage box before you entered.
If you fight the bosses more than once that means you have fight the Overseer that many times (to an extent). I got 4 transformations outta the Overseer. Lasers are easy to avoid if you aren’t super close to the Boss.
If you have a cluster server and want to bring dinos from other maps to help you fight, don’t. My friend lost a high level OP rock drake during the teleportation to the Hall of History since it was from Aberration and not The Island.
You will need a few good melee rexes and 3 meks don't forget to bring a yutyrannus
A really good tip is to get a rock drake and cling to the walls and eat rare flowers to Aggro all the cave creatures into the lava( may take a little bit to kill the creatures but it’s really effective) and slowly move you’re 19 rexs and 1 yuti in a Congo line to the terminal to defeat the overseer. The actual overseer boss is not hard( however be careful of the laser attack cause it will dismount you and have the possibility of getting killed by attack drones). Cryopod the rock drake at the terminal before you teleport and when you beat the overseer you will have the rock drake cryopod in your inventory after you ascend. Hope this helps😀
I was doing the island solo and once was prepping to fight the bossed I made a theri army for the dragon boss, I ended up using my theri army, 1 yuty, and one deadon for healing. I ended up easily winning this fight with none of my army dying and most of them barely went below half hp.
Just telling you I had 200 armor saddles for them all and they all had 3 hp muts and 2 melee muts. I had full tek and a 270% dmg pump shotty for this boss. I had 18 Theris btw and all the dino’s where all perfect 180 tames.
Just get some melee mut rexs and level them by killing alphas and stuff. Then go and do te batle. Hope this helps.
