Stop saying You can force tame it i’m trying to play the game on solo and stop saying you need 5 to 10 people cause you don’t. And stop saying you can force tame it is not helping anyone at all and you could all say I’m being mean but this is supposed to be help full to other people not saying you could force tame it and my your saying that because your bad at the game. If you really want to does this boss right just use a lot of things for every boss that comes out because no one is saying that you could Bring 50 things not 20 like all the other bosses.

You can't tame it, but killing it and the minions will drop tons of element

To ascend without beating The Overseer, just do “playercommand Ascend1” (Without the quotes)

Everyone if you need too know how to play ark read this it’s my first of 7 world guides this one is about the island ( the next one is for genisis 1 and it will be on manticore boss article)

Day 1. Spawn at any zone but the foot paw is a good starter place grab a stone and hit a tree until you have 10 thatch and 1 wood at least) then craft a stone pickax then hit a rock until you have 1 flint

Then hit a tree until you have 10 thatch and 1 wood at least then learn engram stone hatchet use your lvls too get to level to learn the stone hatchet ,I advise you do then on HP or Weight you should have 1 or 2 levels by now .

Day 2. Learn engrams spear and campfire and if you can cloth clothes . Build a spear or too and find something too hunt like a dodo or dilo or lystro

Gather its hide lvl up until you lvl 10 ( lvl up from doing random things ) , then learn the bola and if you can boomerang then find a sand pile harvest it and build boomerangs and use your hide too build some bolas

Day 3. Time for your first tame!

Learn the wooden club and equip your bolas find a decent lvl parasor (45-90) and bola it use you club too knock it out! Then feed it berries mejoberries are the best berries btw it should tame in 10-35 minutes ,

And when it does go in its inventory and check its stats! They usually have hi (400-600) weight and hi HP (350-900) and low everything else so there good starter tames .now build a saddle it will take 50 fiber 80 hide and 15 wood then equip the saddle and ride your now parasor! I advise you name it Brenard it’s a classic name for a parasor .

Day 4. Time for a base . You should learn thatch base stuff( foundation , wall , doorframe , door and ceiling )

Then use mostly thatch it’s best collected with a pickax

And use wood and use fiber too make some floors (6-12) and make a even shape on a flat place then build some walls and a doorframe and a door and some ceilings(6-12) and build your base eventually upgrade it too wood .

Day 5. Your second tame . You are going too tame a iguionidon they are like less good barryonixes and have good mid game abilities,build a bola and a now club find a decent lvl parasor(35-70) iguinonidon

And bola it they fight back so hit it with the club from behind when it is asleep feed it mejoberries and every once and a while (when the purple line is under half full) feed it narcoberries (20-45) and it has hi speed , HP , weight , torpidity, food, stamina , and fortitude.

So they make great tames there saddles take the same mats ( materials) as a parasor saddle so build one and ride your iguionidon and name it Ivan plz

It can harvest lots of berries and it can turn berries into seeds!

Day 6-7. Now you will enhance your house!.

First get 65 stone and 15 hide then craft a mortar and pestle and place it in your base and then build yourself a bed too respawned on and build a few storage bins

Then fill then with random resources for the future

And put narcoberries and spoiled meat in mortar and pestle and craft narcotics then if your the hi enough lvl learn the tranq arrows and the smithy and the refining forge then build a refining forge and put all your wood in it and then hit rocks with a pickax for a long time too get metal ore cook the metal ore in the forge 2 metal ore = 1 metal inget then build a smithy and use your narcotics in the mortar and pestle too make tranq arrows with arrows and narcotics build arrows with fiber and thatch and flint and make your smithy and make a bow which cost you 15 wood and 50 fiber and equip the tranq arrows and cook all the metal you can find and put the charcoal from the forge in a storage bins Then .

Day 8-10 . You are going to gain lvls!

Learn the raft and kill stuff and harvest wood and fiber and craft rafts they give tons of XP and have at least 45 tranq arrows and a full durability bow , then go to the edge of a swamp at the near middle of the world or just anywhere around the redwoods then at a swamp find a sarco beware swamps are DANGEROUS‼️‼️‼️

So find a sarco and shoot it from ontop your tame from afar with TRANQ arrows and it will then get nocked out and you can feed it raw fish meat or prime fish meat or prime meat and then at lvl 29-46 you can learn the sarco saddle . Then go back too base and make a lot of boats and rake in lvls! Then make the sarco saddle it take 35 cementing paste and make yourself metal tools in smithy and the sarco saddle might be made in smithy and then ride your sarco they move 5 times faster in water and instantly gain stamina so find water loots crates !

Day 11-20 . Use sarco too travel to the top right corner of map at a cove with a cave in the cave enter cave on the sarco and go threw it and kill stuff and find the artifact and grab it and get loot drops on the way!

Then do more caves search the cave locations and get artifacts then tame lots of creatures and lvl then a lot then use artifacts at obilisc to enter boss fights and use 20 tames too win the boss fights .the end

I plan on going in gamma with one yuty and 20 theris, each with at least 50k health and 1k melee, but am wondering if it’s enough. Should I be fine or do I maybe need a partner and double the army?

Just made my first Tek Cave/Overseer run and it was a complete 💩🥴 attempt. Learn from my mistakes:

1. Take Rexes. Don't bother with any other dino except MAYBE a Yuty but be sure to put it at the back of your line of dinos. All other dinos are affected by Fear roar. Instant death on the back of my Yuty...

2. Be sure to load all of your dinos with food before going into the cave. Seems obvious but I also forgot That way your dinos can heal.

3. If you're playing in single player with difficutly set to 1, Gamma mode spawns dinos level 195+. After watching many youtube videos in preparation, I was under the impression wild dinos in the cave would be around lvl 50.

4. Make your strongest Rex the one you ride on through the cave, and be sure to put a tek saddle on it with plenty of element. That way you can shoot from the back of it. If you don't have the engram unlocked yet, you're most likely not ready to rub the cave yet.

5. Bring one set of ghillie, fur, and full tek gear for the boss battle. Bring as much ammo as possible. Bring fria curry and calien soups, the steak consumable is also a good one. Bring med brews, bring plenty of food.

Bonus: If it's your first time, over prepare but also be prepared to lose everything. Especially if you're playing on official/private server.

You can force tame bosses but why this one when it’s the most useless of all the bosses

Can’t tame this one unless commands or force tame

You should just kill it to beat the ark🤥

Prepare to be moving, a lot! The Overseer summons little drones that consistently fire at the player, and not your mount. Combined with the persistent cold, your health will drain, fast. Bring MasterCraft to Ascendant fur armour, maybe even Tek if you have it.

As for battling, it's a long process. the Overseer has phases where it is undamagable, and will periodically fire beams out that stun you + your mount. you'll know when it's in this state when it has a shield and is making odd pulsating noises. (trust me- you'll know when you hear it.)

When not in it's immortal stage, the boss will switch between the other boss' forms you've already killed (Dragon, Broodmother, Megapithicus.) and you will have to kill those forms. It has an idle (Idk if that's the correct word) where you can damage the overseer itself. The phases will then repeat until it is killed.

For the tames I personally recommend, I'd say Therizinosaurs, Rexes (if you can manage getting them through the cave, they have a turning radius like a badly tuned truck,) a good Yutyrannus, Ive even seen some people being Spinos, or a Daeodon or two if you're willing to micromanage your food supply. You can bring up to fifty tames into the cave, (if I'm not mistaken.)

The boss fight itself is actually not that dangerous, paling in comparison to its predecessor, the Dragon.

The Overseer has 3 phases:

- Phase 1: Overseer remains stationary and shielded and spawns a bunch of drones to attack you with. Just set tames on aggressive and snipe the flying drones with a gun.

- Phase 2: Overseer runs around the arena like a little b*** and spams laser attacks trying to dismount and stun your dinos, only phase in which the Overseer can actually be hurt.

- Phase 3: Overseer transforms into one of the 3 prior bosses (each clone has their own smaller HP bar separate from the Overseer itself) and fights using their attacks. Phase 3 gets weaker as the fight progresses and the clones will spawn with less and less health.

Use Theris since they are fast enough to keep up with the Overseer in Phase 2 and won’t be crippled by the enflammed debuff the Overseer can use in its Dragon form.

If you kill it with the gun you get in creative then you also die, use lots of gigas

This is a tutorial on both getting through the tek cave and Overseer fight:

Get a tek chestpiece, either a tek rifle and/or decent pump shotgun along with a fair bit of ammo for your choice(s) and a chestplate with the glider suit attached. Grab some medbrews and a bit of element, fill in the remaining armor pieces and your trophies to open the tek cave. You’ll also want an otter to put your kit onto in case ascension decides to delete your stuff and for insulation since the arena is rather cold.

Open the tek cave, glide down the whole thing with your glider suit. Don’t land anywhere but the cold area at the back of the cave or you’ll get killed by the insane level creatures. Just fly on down into the cold area and run to the teleporter thing at the end, wait out the timer and relax and bask in your defeat of the tek cave with nothing but you and your otter!

However, the challenge at hand isn’t over yet. Put on your tek chestpiece and go into the arena to start the fight. There will be a hole in the ceiling just in front of where the overseer spawned. Jump up into the hole and land atop the pointy rock. This is the hole where the Overseer nearly cannot get you. Its minions, however, still can. You will need to occasionally shoot the little drones that decide to bother you. Avoid the Overseer’s laser beam attack when necessary and shoot the Overseer until it transforms. If it’s the spider or dragon, just keep shooting it. If it’s the megapithicus, shoot it, but be aware that the rock throw is actually capable of reaching your ledge and will probably kill you if it hits. Just boost up when it gets thrown and you should be fine. Repeat steps until dead. Just toss your kit onto your otter (or if playing pvp, you might want to risk it and just put your otter in a cryopod because someone outside the tek cave could steal your kit.) If you put your kit on your otter, it will be waiting for you at the entrance to the tek cave.

And there you go, you can now kill the overseer the easy peasy cheesy way!
