Even at lower love these things deal a lot of damage to you and your armor. Flak armor or higher is necessary when fighting large groups. They are fairly easy to outrun though.

Getting the bats out of a cave is the best I recommend the one in the island by blue ob not that main cave with untameable dinos a much smaller on in the ice you can get them to the mouth then they get stuck and can't fly out if you jump they fly down and at out the mouth at you then kite them into a 3 by 1 trap 2 high you can see it on YouTube and from there have all you mutton / bug repellent near by , when trapped the bat seems to not care about you even without the repellent but it's just easyer to have just incase

The most deadlyst thing to come across in a cave since they give you rabies and they are everywhere. Best thing to do is to bring lots of anditodes and bug rebppelent

One of the easiest ways to get past most caves, is to take in a high lvl DireWolf and just slap those pests into the walls. It makes it so much easier when you use the dire wolf’s knock back to counter those pesky bats. Personally, I suggest a lvl 230 Eerie DireWolf, coz that allows you like 20-40 to level health and melee, and pretty good base stats to begin with.

Trap it, shove meat up it's butt without it noticing, yet not really sure, how do they not feel something going up their bumholes? Anyway that's off topic and then you have a tamed rabie monster.

Cave onyc when hit give torper (idk but I don’t think all cave onycs gives torpor) epic defense (maybe even a giga is ez kill)very small and annoying to hit and medium hp up if you find this helping you

Use a good longneck to one shot them pretty reliably at range, and then use a good sword at close range

Direwolf is literally the BEST tame for killing these stupid bats.

Build a wooden base with window walls and reinforced windows. Attack the Onyc with a bow of sorts and let them come to the window while it’s open. They can’t fly threw the window and you can kill them with a pike. Obviously this dosent work if you encounter a few but if there are a lot this works great!

If you see one run as fast as you can if the mega rabies are strong enough they can literally kill you in seconds.

Changelog for the kibble rework update says they should take Simple, but all five (white through yellow) kibbles still start it off at 44.4% effectiveness.
