You can absolutely tame them through a wall still. Just finished a 145 tame with mutton, because kibble does not work. Build a 3x1 hallway with no walls on either end, agro run through place a wall in front of it, run around and wall it off. Barely derender, feed through the wall. 21 mutton for a 150, 4.5% per feed. ♡Hz

Shouldnt you be able to tame them with blood packs because these bats aren't fruit bats so it would make sense unless these aren't like vampire bats wich dont drink human blood

Just ride a cave spider araneo into the cave and go right up to one u want and feed it meat while on spider easiest tame ever

Bats now deserve some new levels of respect. Like their fellow Cave dweller the Megalania, they have a chance to infect you with Mega Rabies (though only a chance rather the 100% like Megalania)

They are easy to spot and avoid using bug repellent. But due to the new Biological weapon element of them. Engage at a distance where possible. Fight them with sword and pike only as a last resort. Make sure you have a stock of Antidotes or Wyvern Milk before any Splunking

Lure them out the cave to make the taming process 10x easier. :)

They are really great for protecting bases

This bat does the same amount of damage as a Carno 35 damage, and due to this being easy to tame (kind of, I will explain later), a pack of these are effective against players and SOME dinosaurs. There are some dinosaurs with a large AOE like the Bronto so avoid engaging in battles with those types of creatures. I also heard that they have a rabies skill which drains the health of the victim, up if it’s true, down if it’s false.

These guys are good at destroying armor but don’t waste your time with it just get dimorphodons at the swamp.

It says these are 'non - violent' but my god! They are not! I found 6 of them inside a cave. These started attacking me on sight, I'm a beginner so I fled the cave and outside was my ptera on attack target mode and they began to fight and they took my ptera so high in the sky that it couldn't hear my whistles and finally they killed my lvl 60 ptera while I stood down helplessly and watched ptera getting killed.

Nets and bolas do not work on the onyc.

So these annoying anti social bats with aids will make your life miserable.. there is a way to feel better and it’s called alt-4 👍 or just bring a sinomacrops to scare it away 🤷‍♂️

Carry a stack of medical brew on your hotbar. If you contract mega rabies just drink up as your health drops.

They’re useful for combat but it would be nice if it could latch to your back and give you a second jump, to make it just a bit more useful like the rest of the dinos. Double jump Onyx backpack would be nice

Hmm I’ve seen people say that they give you mega Rsibes and stuff but I never got mega they have attacked me like a hundred time in the lava cave but still no mega I play on mobile so is that not a thing on mobile ?
