What are tips for oasisaur? Tips and strategies for oasisaur in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Kill a full grown wyvern regardless of level place essence in pool. Use a lightning wyvern to zap vultures. Easy quick tame
If you don't own or have the "Bob's tall tales adventure pack" you can force tame the oasisaurus to try it out
Kill a tamed dino nearby, loot the soul, worship on sacred holy water pool, defend reincarnated baby from flying demons, claim your blessing, I dont what it eat so share your input if you know
Use a death essence on the back of a wild one and be prepared to defend the baby from rounds of Dinoโs to tame this creature
How to tame oasisaur
1. Buy a 30ยฃ dlc.
2. Get a good tame like a Rex make sure you tamed it.
3. Pump stat points into hp.
4.kill the Rex recommendation to kill it is to use a thyla and yes I prob buchered thyla.
5. Take the death esinse or the sole and put it in your inventory.
6. Find a oasisaur :they are rare so look a while.
7.put the sole and put it in the oasisaurโs pool thing.
8.Finally kill the 2 waves of vautures.
9. Enjoy your oasisaur.
Looks cool but slow and is prod a tank put some turrets on it and it is a working tank
Granty is a great YouTuber, with the oasisaur is pretty hard unless you have stuff like a flamethrower(because it does area damage and doesnโt hurt your little baby) and a sniper rifle. The better level your creature you put in the oasisaur the better.
Hereโs how to tame thisโฆ I have successfully tamed it like 20 times no failure so you can trust me.
Step one: Prepare
Find yourself an Oasisaur once you have found one check its level, usually level one is best (I recommend end game after or just before Manticore) get yourself a Rex above level 150, DO NOT attack the Oasisaur in any way it will not let you tame it.
Step two: beginning the process
Find yourself a teammate (it is possible to tame without teammate(s) but not recommend) and kill the 150^ Rex. Get yourself two wyverns (NOT POISON) and land near the pool but not in it it will not help sense you canโt hit the vultures without hitting the Oasisaur. Hop off and put your rexes soul into the Oasisaur inventory. Hurry back to your wyvern ( I used lightning and Fire) use one teammate to fly and kill as many vultures as possible while the other(s) protect from the Oasisaurs back.
Step Three: Defense
Once the vultures start attacking you will have to defend the oasis pool in order to keep the soul alive Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite Do not bite. Only breath attack.
Step four: have fun with the new Oasisaur

A huge ahh turtle thing that u can build on
I haven't seen this thing in my own game before (I don't have ASA haha laugh at me for being broke) but I feel like the taming process is taking half a page from ASM's "Creature Implant" book
-both obtained from dead creatures
-can be revived
-both have a price to revive
Death essence
Creature Implant
JUST TESTED the command ForceTame works so if you play creative no need to pay a ridiculous amount of money!
Taming
1. Kill a tamed creature.
2. Acess the creature's corpse and collectits soul.
3. Put the soul in the Oasisaur's inventory.
4. Defend the Oasisaur from the waves of enemies that spawn. Every wave that you defeat gives you more taming.
5. Fight off the waves until the Oasisaur is fully tamed.
Looking at drag weight vs cost of tame, utility ext, I agree Rex or Racers are best. Whomever said giga, they don't spawn on scorched. Rock elementals don't drop death essence, so they are a no go. I feel like especially early game, racers and rexes are too valuable. Same with wyverns. So I say try Procoptodons. Easy to tame with rare mushrooms, you can carry with an argent, and with a grag weight of 400, are close to a wyvern. I haven't tested to see if you get the two wave taming of a racer or rex but I'd imagine it's the most resource efficient way to tame this. Thoughts?
Kill one of your dinos doesn't matter what dino just kill it open his inventory and get the soul then find a oasisaur get on his back and put the soul at the lake in it. after that several rounds of little birds spawn and will try to attack the dino that u put in after every wave u get progress. GL taming one of these
Just use 3 lighting wyvern and a rex Essence it's not that hard. Rex had 5khp 3 did 3 angles at first than at 70% Just started waiting for them to group up more on the rex and zaped them grouped up and had it tamed probably could have soloed but had the 2nd person zaping the vultures that agroed onto the other player to be safe.
How big are they?
Pls say
โฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ..
In order to resurrect a Dino it must have over 25k food currently
To tame: Kill one of your tames then harvest it. It will drop a bag with a soul of your tame. Pick it up, put it into the oasisaur's inventory from it's back. It will start spawning mobs to kill the soul. Protect it and it will start taming. The type of soul seems to matter. (Rex and stuff)
living base gives free water and resources+revies dinosaur
Might be the worst taming method in the game. Takes an hour on 2x. Either your dead game will die again, youโll accidentally kill the oasisaur, or 45 minutes in an update will shut down the server. I will be giving up, maybe Iโll trade for one eventually
