Tamed a 135 with a wood trap, a crossbow and a diplocaulus day 2, no where near as hard of a tame as it seems. No scuba no harpoon no stone, took maybe 2 hours and only that much because jellyfish killed me

Ok here’s what you gotta do. First tame a turtle and name it sacrifice then cryo that guy and find a tuso then tame a tuso. Ok so with the tuso grab the mosa and bring it to the surface. At a certain point near the surface it will completely stop moving and if it does it will only move down. Also when carrying the mosa with a tuso the mosa will attack it unless you bring it above where it is supposed to be so just swim up with it and it will eventually stop attacking. Up if you want idc

My favorite way is to tame an Ichthy, Build a trap like the wyvern trap on the bottom close to their spawn, and using a high lvl Ichthy with high speed and stam, kite it right to the trap. The rest is simple.

First to tame it you will need to get your scuba gear and a lot of tranqs to knock it out next you will need to find one you can find one on the edge of the map border and you can find them at the bottom where you find Pleids and dunks make sure to kill the pliers or dunks for a chance for it to spawn there and once you find a miss you can trap it with the rocks around it or use a fast water tame to get away and fire your tranqs to knock it out and feed it meat (prim meat works the best)and feed it loads of narcotics and meat and you have tamed a mosa also if you don’t keep them fed they will gain a lot of torpor and go into a coma for a while so KEEP THEM FED

This is more of a question but a level 14 one spawned near herbivore island where I live but it wrecked me and my level 40 basilosaurus. I saw tips saying I should get it to follow me and there are ammonites down there but that agros everything. I can’t afford to miss a shot though.

They are super hard to find and when I was thanking I went to tame a manta I come back it was gone so beware of that my ickey is what I was riding you can shoot off of them that is what I was doging

Anyone have tips on making a trap for taming? I’m not exactly and fan of the ocean in ark and these would help.

An easy quick way but also a bit unreliable is To get a high health water creature like the mosa right under its depth limit wistle passive on the tame and shoot tranqs at it until it flees not recommended for higher levels but can be countered with better saddles

I kited an X-Mosa into the Oxygen Bubbles, still took hundreds of tranq arrows but it makes it easy to stay alive, breaks a few bubbles so make sure there are a couple around.

Use a Tuso to drag it up to above its rise level after that make sure somethings under so it can't go back down after that tranq it with 100000 arrows

I was new to the mosa taming until last night when I found a 140. Just stay above the depth limit or trap them into a rock. I starved my mosa because the last update released the eels and you don't want to lose taming efficiency.

Go to fjordur n travel around deep cliffs not to deep ocean pit for a non violent easy mosa tame just a chase beware of the paparazzi though

Im used to explore with a basilo when im going to tame these bois i also love them they are very fast and good for farming angler gel, prime fish meat etc also you can have the alphas but only in creative with forcetame also try alphas!! They are extremely fast -Diego

After i spent about an hour tranking and taming this giant. Something caught my attention for about a minute right after my mosa tamed up. I turn heading towards it, My mosa green taming sign disappear right ahead in front of me. as i got there i saw no more mosa, only the basilosauros left there. I was whistling all over the place, but never found it.

I checked my group menu, it says there that my mosa decay…😳 what. 😡😡😡 so much time wasted…

So make sure your are there to take your mosa as soon as it tamed up.

If your In genesis 1 and you are fighting a x mosa bring about 2000 shocking tranq darts

(Tip they spawn at the ocean)

Get one guy to hold it with squid. Move it closer to surface and have other guy tranq arrow it.

Attack an Ammonite witch will give you a rage effect then bring the Mosasaurus to the surface and it will stay there then knock it out idk if it works on of but it works on mobile

Try to grab it with a tuso and then have a tribe mate shooting it with tranqs so that it is knocked out faster and can’t damage you or your tribe mate.

Make sure when taming this or any non passive ocean tame, to use tranq spears and harpoon lajnchers to split your knockout time in half.
