Passed by two Mosa’s while on a Basilio to get to the artifact of the brute. They seemed to really love to look at the cave wall. One was in the artifact room with me, hopped off, grabbed it and he didn’t even budge. Seems like they don’t give two shits if he can’t physically see you.

I don’t understand why these aren’t in the popular category, they are awesome. It’s percentage of damage is its real damage, which means it originally does 100 damage. They work as a mobile boat (not a submarine because you can still drown). They are incredibly fast to, faster than a tamed itchyosaurus which means they are a fast tanky fighter that can do insane amounts of damage. 10/10 from me.

On rag there’s a cave there’s near blue ob it’s above the mushroom cave on the other side of the bridge and it’s packed with mosa and alpha mosa I killed one and two more spawned right after with a normal one

I'd recommend you go with a giant squid to tame them because you can grab them also the basaileosaurus is not the guy to tame this guy in genesis becuase x_mosasaurs they are at a low depth the basaileosaurus can go only a specific depth till it starts to take damage. Also if you dont use a squid make a trap a 2×2 beheamothgate with some gateways in them only put a gateway in the back when the mosasaur is in there

I use my basilo as bait as it only attacks him and i can pelt him with arrows.

Is it just me or all of the mosa in my solo server is extinct? I went all the way to carno island but didn't find one. Where's the easiest place to find a wild mosa? Please help me, So I can get my aquatic giant. Thanks 😊

Definitely worth the tame and effort

If you encounter these in a hard ocean cave and your creature isn’t strong enough to fight them, there is pretty much no escape because cave mosas don’t go back down from depth, learned that the hard way.. just accept ya fate

Lure him into the underwater cave, once there hop out of the water and shoot away, just be sure to follow him if he tries to swim away, if possible place a behemoth gate behind him when he swims in so he can’t leave.

How to tame a Mosa

Step 1 : tame a semi aquatic dino ( I recommend taming a Beelzebufo or a sarco)

Step 2 : get the Mosa,s attention to aggro you

Step 3 : bring him near the shores

Step 4 : shoot it with tranq arrows

Step 5 : feed it raw prime meat/ prime fish meat

Bam there you go you got yourself a living boat

If your on mobile please use soothing balms, otherwise it will be the most tedious thing ever.

I always used to be a mostly land dino guy. Best advice I ever got in this game was to breed Mosa's. Only 2 generations in and I just head to the busiest part of the ocean, give a ammonite a smack and wait for the ocean to come to me.

You can pretty easily just swim in circles and shoot tranqs in to it.

If you’re planning on taming one of these, don’t do it behind the snow biome unless you have a lot of bio toxin (preferably a stack or two just in case, depends on the lvl.) and make sure to have a swift mount that can dodge the attacks of the said Moss, such as a plesiosaur or something faster. If you do happen to knock one out in the snow biome ocean I suggest you go up for air and wait for 30 secs, (and for health) then go down and wait for 30 more seconds and feed it bio toxin. Keep doing this until it is tamed, Usually his strategy works.

If you build a base on its back (even a fully enclosed metal one) be care not to let squid grab you or it will break all the stuff in your base, generator, fridge, fabricator, etc.
