Run if u see one they have a knockout ability so always bring strong dinos in an area that they spawn at

Lost Island.. this map doesn't care where your supposed to spawn. Hatered is too pure a word for these feathered mini beasts who give birds a bad rep.

Anyways encounter, so first off they dont seem to spawn till about the 20th ark day if your on console it seems like the more complicated dinis take longer to spawn. Their spawn location is the redwoods and plains/savana as well as mountain areas, very rarely the dense forests where the boundaries are iffy at best. They do a screech and a mario jump into the air and glide at you at pteradon speed so please if you manage to dodge one keep flying and don't check if its still after you because it is. They can glide for at leastmost of your ptera's stam bar so your gonna need to use the terrain to your advantage. If you cant 1hit KO this thing kite it to your other tames as most dinos will ignore them. You either notice them while your high up or they notice you close to the ground either way if they miss you better be gone before they hit the ground.

Escape; I landed with my argy after fighting with a glitched alpha raptor and noticed from the very corner of veiw a lil 💪muscle bird charging me from out of render distance, since i was laned higher and further away it didn't jump ip yet n i was able to get away. Came back with my ptera attacked it and fled, got it down to ground level and slaughtered it with a pack of dilos and a parasaur since they can detect enemies.

Tip: If you notice passive dino's running/flying away from something and you cant see any carnivores just run. Sorry it was so long i wish ya the best ~Witch Subject#1

I'm just glad they didn't give them poison damage as these creatures had venom IRL!

Ok this is irritating but when used in PvP its sooo goood

Don't agro as it's nimble on foot. Tranc dart and rare flowers will make this prehistoric turkey yours rather quick.

Rare flowers insta tame it just don't let it bite you. Would make excellent pvp house defense.

Use crossbow with tranq arrows and shoot it once goes down in one shot don't shoot twice it'll make it less tameable U only need normal raw meat obtainable by plenty of creatures hope this helped some newbies :) or just bola it asseell another tip actually is upgrade health and stamina slot before taameing

They don't attack rhynios

Also for some reason they don't retaliate when hit by something that they aren't aggressive to (like titanomyras)

For example, they are completely passive to wild brontos.

Use a bolo on them, makes them infinitely more manageable. I always carry at least 5 bolos

Carefully come up to one and bola it, they are effected by bolas. make sure you are not on a mount smaller than a rex since they can jump up and stun you off. their torpor drops a little fast.

Yea,when wild they are annoying as f**k but when Tamed they can attack from your shoulder,which can be useful to kill meganeuras and titanomyrma when you are riding something.my saved me and my Tapejara since One meganeura was attacking US draining my tapejara stamina when we was close to a Chalicoterium while i was taming megatherium but fortunately my microraptor killed the bug and letted us fly away

I was riding my terror bird hunting for dire bears and somthing knocks me off it turns out I died to a gigapithacous that was near me

After reading these tips, im actually pretty lucky :D ive never had much problems with these guys, usually im riding my argi near the ground, looking for something to tame when these knock me off my mount. I dont actually get mad at them, i just whistle for my argi to be on neutral and my argi kills them. They never stun my argi. I actually look for them sometimes because theyre super cute and i want one (i dont have one yet). But then, the "Omg its so cute thing" also goes with terror birds and carnos for me, which my sister despises and she'll never forgive me for loving the "ugly" things.

The most dangerous creature in Ark! “They do very little damage” I agree, but everything else that lives around them does not! After they knock you off your tame you can only hope that your tame does high damage fast. I only survived being knocked off my Baryonx by it killing 7-8 raptors 2 sarcos and other stuff before they killed me. After that I burned those worthless things (and 1 more raptor) to death with my torch!!

Oh there is no way I could object to a bird so small it’s hard to see knocking me off my new argy the second I initiate battle with an alpha carno
