Want to tame this insect grinder? Here’s your best way to go about this; supplies; as with every tame u need supplies this is of course what I recommend bringing, you however can bring what you think will work! I recommend shocking tranqs, as a way of quickly putting them down, without them getting to you, pack 200 narcotics for each megatherium you plan on taming (pack a few more just in case) pack some kibble, or veggies, mutton, prime these guys are omnivores but they prefer meat! Next on the shopping list is a net gun, if you are a low leveled player this will be your safest bet on getting one of these, but pack at least 6 nets, in case you eithor miss or they broke free, and there will always be too megatheriums that spawn with each other, meaning they are always in packs of two, if you don’t have access to nets, then beartraps will work too, they’re just not as versatile as the net gun, make sure to pack some GOOD armor, because when these guys come at you o Jesus they will come for you. Having trouble finding some of these Boise? I find them very often on lost island, and crystal isles, (I play on valguero, but I don’t think they spawn on that map) you can find them all over the map on isles, on lost island they spawn commonly at the left of the desert dunes!

Still wanting to tame one? Here’s some options for knock out; nets!, just shoot them both with nets and walk up and tranq them in the head for a quick and painful knockout! And the other option is shoot and flee!, it’s pretty much self explanatory but it is a dangerous operation I recommend health brews if you get overrun. After you knock them out, I prefer mutton to tame them but it’s up to you how you tame them! Congrats you have tamed the fuzzy insect grinder, a VERY effeicant way to kill the brood mother as well as protect your base from bugs, and as cave also have bugs they are good cave mounts if they fit inside the cave, they also have a massive dmg buff when a insect is close by, this is specified by the distinctive red cloud above its head, it will do this in the wild as well making it kill u way faster, great for gathering chitin, and also can gather fiber and berries by harvesting bushes (it’s kinda like a therizino in some ways) very useful tame for players! Good against the broodmother,because of their boost against bugs.(if they kill a bug they get a boost that basically makes them the strongest Dino in ark.)Breeding them is also really easy because they give you a baby instantly and don't drop an egg, which saves a bit of time.

So you would like to tame a ✨Megatherium✨ here's how

First I would recommend making a taming pen out of 4 stone foundations and 2x high stone doorways then you will tranq it count 5sec per shot because it takes a second for the shots to kick in then feed the taming food🍖🥩.

🔥Fun fact🔥:When you kill a bug while on a ✨Megatherium✨ it goes into rage mode and does double its normal damage.

Don't try to kill these for XP. I lost a level 130 Tek Rex trying to kill a level 82 when suddenly another one ran in from behind and they shredded my freshly tamed creature in about 5 seconds, I didn't even have time to turn around.

Only in dungeons for mobile players, along with Jerboa, Onyc, Troodon and Daeodon. Hopefully mobile players can see and know!

I also found some on Lost Island in the desert, right next to a little stone/bones oasis

Just found out the crystal wyverns don’t pick up these guys :/

These creatures are pretty easy to tame (a simple knock out feed) they are brilliant for caves as they have the bug buff ability (makes them 2x stronger when fighting bugs) also these creatures are amazing for the broodmother for the same reason.

DO NOT BRING BUGS ANYWHERE NEAR THIS GUY! I was coming back home from the redwoods with some new times riding on my scorpion and I tried to just pass by him but he immediately aggroed my scorpion and all of my other tames. 15 tames died in a matter of seconds. Only the level 80+'s survived.

A lvl 15 killed 7 high-level dimorphs. They were taking him out at first then It started secreting a red mist and wiped them all out myself included

In the Island Redwoods cave and Ragnarok Ascended Carnivore Cavern, there is heaven for Megatheriums

I use these guys for boss fights they are amazing if you have enough of them

I would highly recommend getting one of these big boys. Me and one of my boys got a 140 earlier today and I must say he is quite the Dino. His name is Pablo and he is a beast. Got his health to 10k and his melee to 350 then took him down to the swamp cave on the island. Pablo single handedly wiped the entire big population in that cave and in the process got me from level 96-100. Most importantly you can sit these guys which is what really sold me. Anyways I’d highly recommend getting one of these sloths.

Like the Therizino, but gathers more thatch than wood. Also, this thing has really good weight.

He is basically the incarnation of a gorilla god if he gets his hand on any bug. He will obliterate any who stand before him and rip the chitin from your very soul. Cause if you didn’t have chitin before now be prepared to have to much of it. The only downside of this literal demy god is that it’s hard to get his fat furry ass anywhere cause he is humungous.

Can be put in a procoptodon (kangaroo) pouch while it’s in a baby state

You never know what you've got until it's gone. Actually I knew exactly what I had and that was my mega. The BEST at gathering chitlin or keratin. I'd take him to a spot with a lot of bugs and after 2 mins I'd have stacks and stacks of chit/keratin. I left him on a boat while I took my argys to get some obsidian real fast and ended up running into 3 spinos. Took a while to kill 2 and tame the 3rd while fending off tickle chickens then on the way back I found a gigantithicus or whatever the sasquatch is and followed him around shoving berries in his ass until he was tamed and by the time I got back to my raft base with the spino and harry my mega was dead..... I've spent 2 days looking for another and can't find one. I saw them ALL THE TIME until I'm looking for one lol.
