This thing damn near killed my Mantis good thing my mantis was imprinted and super fast

I knocked out two (140 and 145) at the same time. One I starve tamed the other I fed at beginning. The one i fed at start finished twice as fast as the starve tame. DO NOT STARVE TAME. Values must be wrong for starve taming or something.

I’ve never really encountered these things on other maps except for extinction, maybe once in scorched earth, but what I find most useful is to have a circle of bear traps so that once it chase you into the circle, it’ll get caught on another trap trying to run away

Stay away if it starts a range meter! (That's when it start to attack bugs and it's a red glow kinda like the alpha glow)

In ark mobile unfortunately they r only found in the duengons so be alert to pick the implant if u encounter one

If he eats sap your dead so stay away from things

Use a thylacoleo/crossbow for knocking it out, it wil be down in 1-2 min

Easily tamed - pick up with quetz dropped into a 2 wall high taming pen ( stone ) can brake wood. Level 23 took me 31 tranq arrows from cross bow then I fed it prime meat. Looks derpy af XD

I found a 140 and was able to take it back to my base. My partner KOd it with bio darts while I held it with the quetz. I then put a stack of prime as well as Honey pots on it to see which it preferred and it chose the honey. It took 4 honey to tame on a 10x taming server.

They tame quicker on raw mutton. A lvl 25 gathered 140-180 chitin on 1 single scorp with the bug buff otherwise it's jus like a therizino but not as strong

While this creature is quite vulnerable and slow in general, in the presence of bugs it receives a buff and becomes a complete powerhouse and is an almost unstoppable harvester of chitin. It has decent weight and should be tamed with Megalania kibble or mutton. Level melee and weight.

Brilliant for the swamp cave. There is a narrow part of the cave just before the first bug swarm (you can see them through the narrow bit). Cryo a megatherium and throw it through the gap. Once it unfreezes hop on quickly and then spam the left click button and you’ll kill everything as you go. It can access all the cave but there’s a few tight spots which you need to wiggle and line up to get through. The only part you have to dismount is when you go for the artefact. Sometimes you’ll have to stop to deal with torpor or to drop items. When done just cryo him and take him home. Normal runs I gain 3-5K health per trip through levelling.

He gathers thousands of fiber! He should be on the top 3 of gathering efficiency for fiber! Also he's sid from ice age so yeah.

Making a trap will help a lot taming this Dino.
