One way you can tame it is by punching it with your fists, and then shoving mejoberries down its nonexistent esophagus(/j), but my favorite and the most efficient method is by going into the pause menu, going into the commands tab, and using “cheat ForceTame”! These things are very great for chitin the most easiest way to kill all of them in two seconds is with a Rex, which I have but a pike is just fine

An utterly useless and frustrating creature. They always seem to attack you and drain your stamina at the worst possible moments. But hey this thing gives you a good amount of chitin and some meat if you’re in a pinch. And it gives you cementing paste if you’re on a frog. So, not so useless after all I guess.

These guys only attack when you attack or you're near a dead body. So basically mini vultures.

These guys aren't as annoying as those damn titanmyrma things as these guys only aggro to you if there is a corpse nearby but they are easy to kill if you have a decent creature

If you are a low level player. Just kill AS MANY of these as you can. They level you up so fast. On The island you can jump from a lvl 1 Bob to level 30 after murdering a few swarms of these.

I have found, at least on PC, that once they start circling you, as long as they aren't ground level, you can crouch and they'll just fly in circles around you without hurting you. This saved me many times as a beach bob

Do you not go anywhere near these they are very powerful, and you won’t win in a fight

You can bring a good beezlebufo into the swamp cave on the island to get tons of cementing paste
