The Mega Mek cannot be tamed normally; it is assembled from regular Meks using the M.O.M.I. during the final boss encounter. Designed primarily to battle the Alpha King Titan, it is restricted to the arena and has little use beyond that fight, self-destructing afterward or if it leaves the encounter. It is encountered only during this battle, so small creatures are quickly defeated and should not be relied upon; focus on the main objective instead.
