1. Ride on Ichthyosaurus since nothing will agro on you in the water unless you feed a basilosaurus food and mantas see that.

2. Crossbow ONLY with tranqs or longneck rifle with darts to knock it out.

3. Have some bio toxin beforehand (10 is more than enough)

4. Feed raw or prime meat because fish meat is less effective.

5. You have got yourself a shark pet.

Relatively easy tame just make sure not to call the big bois THICC FEESH or they will get VERY AMGERY

X-type 140 took me about 140 arrows with prim crossbow .

You can unlock their saddle relatively early in the game.

Just aggro the megalodon and stand on the shore when you tranq it.

I used 10 tranq arrows with a cross bow and 10 raw meat to tame for a level 10 not 20 raw meat

The X type takes about 3x more arrows to knock it out from what i can tell this is the same for most x dinos.

Was able to trap it in a boat very easy tame that way. Named the boat Orca did not get destroyed...doing better then Flynn...

How to tame a meg on mobile:

You will need: Bary w/ saddle, A crossbow, and(of course) a wild meg near the shoreline

1.Find one near the shore, shouldn’t be too hard

2:Grab your bary and ride it

3.Once in water, wait for the meg to aggro and attack something. A swimming turtle is prefered bc they have a large hp pool

4.Shoot the meg as it fights. If the Dino is still alive, kill it.

5.Feed it and boom u have a meg!

This is how I tamed my first meg rusty on my single player, it may not be as effective on PvP

While taming an x meg, use tranq spears instead of darts or arrows, seem to work better for me

They spawn a lot around the red obelisk and the ocean by the most western spawn area

Fairly easy tame with slingshot on mobile. I found a female stuck on herb island, grabbed meat, knocked it out and started tame ing it. Trill in the process, but ye! Just get like 300 hungered rocks and like 3 slingshots and ur good! (Mobile btw)

For the 100% chance of death for the pachy primary attack, it's talking about the pachy, not the meg

Spinos or sarcos don't get prime fish meat anymore off megladons. Not sure if it's a change from one of the last updates.

You can outrun them with flippers on, don’t bother with any other technique

Easiest way to tame these guys is on a raft and a crossbow.

1. Hop into the water and be the bait

2. If you see one jump back onto raft

3. Shoot with crossbow with tranq

4. Wait for your new tame

Cheap stone trap with small water dinos or yourself

4 foundation

3 walls high each side, it will not pass thru

1 giant hatch frame and gate on top

Thats all

Bow take your dino, lure it from top and you get out from the side without walls. Shark is slow and clumsy so you have time to return on too to close gate

Net gun it then tranq arrow repeat, then bam it's out. Took me 2 nets while floating over the water on a bloodstalker shooting it with a longneck
