Encountering Tips
How do I kill a mantis? mantis encountering and battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Dododex users say:
Use fire-based weapons or creatures, such as flamethrowers, fire wyverns, or oil jars, while staying alert for the Mantis’s long-range pounce and heavy damage. Prepare thoroughly, isolate nearby threats, and use stealth aids like ghillie armor, cactus broth, and bug repellent when approaching or harvesting one.
If you wanna farm organic polimer on fjordur go to the volvano island all around the wyvern trench and you will find A LOT of mantis
there is also some spawns for asgard but i wont recomend since the number is much less
