These are annoying to tame because they attack you while taming up if you want this changed

Waist of time, tamed a lvl 145 , got it up to lvl 182. Got off of it under water in the ocean no land. Your lvl 182 manta was killed.

Trapped one in a 2x2 box with door frames and a Dino gate. I used ghillie. Didn't seem to mask me. I'd use flak to keep the damage down cuz it'll still attack through the door frames. But I was triumphant in the end.

Get it stuck on the shore

Lure it to land then when the manta is on the shore, put spikes down so it can't get out. Then, you can feed it without getting bit.

Use have a boat near by when taming so that you don't get pulverized when it does get aggressive

Make a small pin out of stone (it can't destroy stone) in water that is deep enough to allow the manta to swim. Lure the manta into the pin with a water animal or just swimming (whichever you prefer) and close the gate behind it. You can then feed the manta until it is tamed

If you up his speed to max, and health a little. You can bounce with it over land! Warning: you can only 1 or 2 times eather it dies!! So don't take to big islands!! If you keep you on this, it wil by one of the fastest creatures in ark!!!!!

To tame - Just put Angler Gel in your inventory bar’s last (far right) slot.

To get Angler Gel - Kill an Angler Fish using a tranquilizer gun/crossbow arrow. (To keep it from killing you).

If you can make one, a harpoon gun works well on these. Try to lead one away from all others, if possible. They’re fast and they WILL call their friends! Killing one Angler Fish will give you plenty of Angler Gel to tame several Mantas at a time. Again, try to lead one away from the others. If one tames in a group, the tedd as tvof the group will kill it before you can say “oops!”

Don't waste your time trapping it, because for some reason it won't tame in a trap

Angler gel is easy to get with zcuba gear and a master craft pike the bug repelent also doesn't work all the time just don't be around them to much while tamimg

Now that we have Megalosaurus and Kaprosuchus, taming Rays has never been easier. You can pick them up with either animal on PvP OR PvE (it works, trust me). Just latch on and hold it there while a tribemate feeds it when needed, or if you're alone carefully pull it into whatever trap you may have prepared. The biggest problem with this is making sure you don't lift the Ray out of the water or it will instantly die, but as long as you're careful the process is quick and easy

Why does it need Angler Gel to tame? Why not raw fish meat or raw meat? Seriously.

Most underrated ark ocean creature, it may be hard to tame but it's super fast and can jump

1. Ride icthy and kill anglerfish for the angler gel

2. Find manta

3. Murder it's friends

4. Shove the angler gel up the manta's badongadingdong

5. Now you are Lightning McQueen

If you want to tame manta first tame ichthyosaurs cause no one attack ichtyosaur and then kill angeler ride on your ichthyosaurs and tame easy also same way to tame manta
