Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a manta? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a manta.
It should say “passive tame for NON-passive creature”
Long story short. You die. A lot.
Take a megalodon @ night and look for anglerfish kill it during the day (easier kill). Take the anglergel and build a trap on shallow water. Lure it in while wearing SCUBA suit
i don't think they attack when u feed them (in mobile at least) well it did not to me or it is just a glitch
You dont need insect repellent but it helps unless its stuck in a rock
Angler Gel can be acquired by simply killing achatinas in mobile for some reason
It’s easy to tame when on an Ichty they won’t attack you
Beginners Guide To MANTA: Cute Club
Hand fed and good pet! Need an itchy to tame.
1) Obtain sixteen angler gel (should eat less, but prepare!)
2) Ride an Itchy near the manta
3) Feed angler gel
4) Once tamed, equip a saddle. DO NOT RIDE NEAR any aggressive animal. It is NOT like the Itchy.
They are a awesome tame especially in packs
I used my basilosaurus. It has 21k health so I just agro'd the manga to my basilo and crouched on my big bois back and fed the manta as it swam around attacking my basilo. The wait time between first and second feed was the longest as with all passive tames. Modded server with 10x taming.
Make sure you dont go near land with them. I nearly killed my recently tamed one because I poked it's head out in the shore. Dropped from 100% health to 10% in 2 seconds.
Use it wisely, this pancake is really strong for early game, and can assist in your sea creature hunting. However, please keep it away from cnidaria, it don't have decent range against these guys. Also, whoever said Baryonyx is good against cnidaria is a pro, so don't use it against cnidaria if you are a noob, my lv 40 Bary died to
3 Cnidaria instantly after dipping into the pool too long
Most underrated ark ocean creature, it may be hard to tame but it's super fast and can jump
1. Ride icthy and kill anglerfish for the angler gel
2. Find manta
3. Murder it's friends
4. Shove the angler gel up the manta's badongadingdong
5. Now you are Lightning McQueen
To tame - Just put Angler Gel in your inventory bar’s last (far right) slot.
To get Angler Gel - Kill an Angler Fish using a tranquilizer gun/crossbow arrow. (To keep it from killing you).
If you can make one, a harpoon gun works well on these. Try to lead one away from all others, if possible. They’re fast and they WILL call their friends! Killing one Angler Fish will give you plenty of Angler Gel to tame several Mantas at a time. Again, try to lead one away from the others. If one tames in a group, the tedd as tvof the group will kill it before you can say “oops!”
How to tame a manta

Let it aggro on a basilosaurus with high health and feed it angler gel and it won't even notice you(make sure it is only one manta
Passive tame? Passive my butthole DodoDex
If you punch the basilasaurus it resets the taming
So I found this tip on taming a manta while I was recording a video with my friend and I was taming a manta cuz we had too much gel (we lived in an underwater cave) and im here to share the tip with you
Step 1:aggro a manta (or a horde of mantas, regardless it will work)
Step 2: go into the underwater cave and jump on the ledge, this will force the manta to stay at the surface of the water not even noticing you.
Step 3:feed the manta gel until it is tamed
Boom, you have a manta, while I've only tried this on mobile, im fairly confident it will work on pc/console too
Share this with anyone who needs help taming a manta
A dolphin may be a good way to tame cuz manga don’t attack dolphins. Just do NOT un mount. Never tested it cuz I don’t have angler gel, but they did not attack me while I was right next to it on my dolphin nedy.
Apparently if you lure one of these to a rock and then feed it AnglerGel, the manta will no longer be angered by you. Not sure how that works seeing as their aggressive, but I’ll take it.
