Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a manta? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a manta.
I had to spend about an hour trying to get angler gel
A method I found involves spinning in circles with it where it can't hit you and occasionally take sharper turns to feed, wear scuba!
My only question is why do they eat angler gel but they usually swim at the Shores and anglers usually swim near the bottom of the sea?
Just pump health and when I mean pump health I mean PUMP THAT HEALTH! These guys die so quickly. I know it says on stats they have 320 health at level 1 but seriously they are so STUPID! in the wild, they sometimes jump in the middle of the most unuasual time and they instantly die even if the Manta is level 999 and even if its tamed it will only take MAXIMUM 9 seconds to die on land. AND ALSO IN BATTLES I DONT KNOW WHY BUT IT FEELS LIKE THEY HAVE HEALTH DEBUFF cause apparently they die so quick, especially to megalodons. Weird...
So just pump health.

It says non-violent because you don’t knock it out to tame! It’s a passive tame :)
There was a whale with a 150 manta. I tried to tame with angler gel and a plesiosaur. (Don’t bask why I as taming hen I had a plesiosaur) The 7 mantas following whale just let me tame the one, and it never even attacked me. I PUNCHED IT AND IT JUST REDUCED TAMING EFFECTIVENESS AND DID NOT AGGRO.
To the idiot who said they only eat gels, they also eat fish meat.
They are very very deadly if you are brand new like me they will like kill you in 3 shots I recommend using a far range attack
Very easy to tame... Just ride an Ichi and the manta will ignore you, unless you hop out of your ride. Good luck taming!
First tame a dolphin then go to the bottom of the sea and kill and anglerfish to get the gel then follow one around until it’s tamed
To all the people being late like it’s violent and not non violent the tamings non violent not the thing your taming
Building a trap out of pillars in shallow water on the shoreline with a behemoth gate entrance on the waterside worked wonders for me.
I used a wild tame baryonyx to get the mantas aggro and led it into the trap, jumped of when on land and swam around the trap (while keeping an eye out for any of its friends) and closed the trap.
After that, it was as simple as swimming between the pillars on the opposite side of the gate and feeding it anglergel until it was mine. Got a breeding pair of them now.
what is so dangerous bout this flappy boi of the ocean i only had trouble with cnidarias. Just go near it then start going to shore it will follow (don't go too far from shore or u ded) then keep on feeding angler gel. hope this help :)
These things are like jetskis. Good for racing in water
I recommend using four metal Dino gates, with 2 gate doors, wade in manta waters and lure one into the trap to prevent them from wandering anywhere… I’ve tamed every single one of my mantas in crystals isles near eldritch isles with utmost ease…especially during events with 2x or 3x ~ Ghost
Use an itchy to tame as mantas dont agro on them
Never enter waters which are infested by them if you are not riding an ichty or wearing bug spray as they will kill you as they usually move in packs. Oh and they eat eals
These water pancakes should be fed angler gel while riding an ichty because they will attack anything else except an ichty. They do surpringly high damage so be careful if you dismount.
Tame it on an icthy, it won’t attack you that way
When taming place a stone foundations with doorframes on all sides except for one in the water with doorframes just under the water, aggro the manta in the spot and place a doorframe to lock it in. You can feed it while it aggro to a wall for safe taming.
