Best way make a water pin using wood pillars start on the beach from shore to sea make sure when building pen to have 7 feet deep pillars in water and above water surface 2 feet pillars the manta can escape over. When pillars meet land have them between water ending point to land so manta doesn't get killed while being out of the water. to lure them in use baryonyx to knock them out while they are in pin with tail spin. Then close gate. When the mata reawakes lure it to the corner of your pin and place pillars around it will be stuck easy taming then feed angler gel becaerfull when its yours to whistle stop then put saddle on if not it will follow you and risk itself of killing itself

If you go on the Ragnorok map if you go too viking bay 3 and go to the bottom of the ocean not far from the bridge like rocks a giant manta the size of a bronto will spawn and it is called the manta king. It is very easy to kill despite its size. Your welcome!

Ok so this thing kills you with a electric tail but it’s a manta a sting ray is the one with the electric stinger

These things are monsters they killed my two Sarco after I killed a megaladon they are stronger the than megs we need a nerf on them

I easily tamed one by luring it on a sand bar. My make shift tamming pen was made of 4 foundations, 16 doorframes and one ceiling(all stone). Make a 2x2 with the stone doorframes 2 high. Lure the manta through a empty space and then place your last 2 doorframes. You can then place your ceiling and laydown on it to feed angler gel for tamming. You might need a few extra doorframes to keep it from moving.Good luck these things are savages. -Legend

If you see one of these do not approach it or it will attack you, I thought this was a non violent creature so i approached it. My frog was on neutral and the manta hit me so the frog attacked and it died since the manta brought more mantas. Beware of these horrible creatures.

An easy tame if you put enough anglergel in your hotbar. I've never had a problem with them being too agro. To the guy who said they're "aggressive in real life, rip Steve irwin" Actually, Steve Irwin was a show off idiot who grabbed a sting ray ( not a manta) by the tail. Everyone who uses the sea knows not to do exactly that if you want to live. Apart from that, in real life they are gentle creatures.

Double tamed two megalodons, they killed the lower level one after it got tamed and the remaining one got killed from these things because my brother was going the wrong way to fight off the pancakes and it died

Very annoying, they are aggressive and very fast and usually stay in groups. If you're early-mid game and want to tame one of these things, forget it. They require angler gel.

These are annoying to tame because they attack you while taming up if you want this changed

Waist of time, tamed a lvl 145 , got it up to lvl 182. Got off of it under water in the ocean no land. Your lvl 182 manta was killed.

Quick and easy, take a crossbow and some Grappling Hooks. Shot the hook at the Manta and it wont move.

Alpha Mantalord(One of my creations)apparently killed all Ark bosses when I put it to the test!After that,my PC exploded...When I fixed it there was flipping squid boy killing me in survival hard-core.Fu*k that guy!

I once alphaed a Manta but it could fly...Well,then my PC exploded.DO NOT TRY TO TURN A MATA INTO AN ALPHA!
