Tips & Strategies

What are tips for manta? Tips and strategies for manta in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
For people trying to get angler gel, just kill snails (they drop gel)
Once Instakilled my sarco when I attacked it from behind. Rip Where’s My Water ;c
so i was in a game with my boyfriend and i had a very high level dilo (i dont remember the exact level) and it ran into the water and i kept calling it to make it get out of the water and i saw that it was taking damage so i went into the water to see what was happening and i saw 3 or four mantas attaking it lets just say i actualy cried
Swim next to the basilosaurus they are swimming with and tame from there, they won’t attack and there is no need for the dolphin or anything like that
These are in the my top 3 most hated creatures in ark, (1st and 2nd being the leech and the lamprey). Reason why I hate mantas: They are ugly in my opinion; a full on gang of more than 10 of these interfered while I was taming sharks which was to help fight these annoying things off; and finally, when I tried to tame an itchyosaurus so I could explore the sea, these chased me back into the shore.
Mantas DO aggro icthys! Do not listen to those who say they don’t, they 100% do.
A diplocaulus is faster than these guys in water!!! Upbote
Raft+gateway+gate+hatchframe to shoot through+storage box+walls= manta taming raft (manta sucker). Drive & get manta through the gateway, close the gateway & feed angler gel.
If you find one your can easily kill it, but if they are in a group don't bother even a megalodon won't stand a chance they shredded my high-level megalodon like paper
Whoever said that you can use a kapperucus to pick them up and do not diy was so rong because when I used my kapperuscus and picked it up and it died in its mouth almost immediately.
Okay I want to clear this up. I am sure most of you already know but there seems to be a little confused on the term non violent tame, It does not mean the creature is not violent it means it is tamed by passively feeding it like a Lystrosaurus instead of knocking it out like a Dodo. For the manta particularly you may be concerned but don’t worry if you are on an Icthyosaurus ( easy to tame at a high enough level there is even a quest that walks you through taming one) they won’t attack you I don’t recommend going anywhere near them without an aquatic mount though. Be forewarned however they are only tamed by a fairly rare substance called angler gel so keep playing to find some I would check here on Dododex for creatures that drop it (other than anglerfish of course that one is pretty implied)
I hade 10 In my old pvp server that guarded my underwater cave base no 1 could live throu a raid they killed alpha mosas easy
consciousswine 75 see ya on ark
This thing can fly??? I SWEAR I SAW THEM FLY!
I make a large platform raft with multiple spaced out ramps. I agro multiple manta onto the ramps. Let them unagro and you can tame them in peace. Not some will die in this attempt and after you complete the time you post demolish the ramp or they WILL DIE!
Trap it in pillars on the beach to make taming it easier.
A basalosaurus can kill about 50 of theses easly that is if you know how to use it well. The easiest way to get a big amount of angler gel is to kill angler fish. Good luck 👍
All you need is a Ichthyosaurus and lots of oxygen
This is a "passive" tame, except for the matter of these guys are very aggressive. If you ride a itchysaure, they will not agro you unless you dismount. Arrow so people can see this. BTW: This is on mobile. I don't know about other platforms.
Here is my plan I do
I kill anglers for angler jell on my itchy and feed them mantas
