Once Instakilled my sarco when I attacked it from behind. Rip Where’s My Water ;c

so i was in a game with my boyfriend and i had a very high level dilo (i dont remember the exact level) and it ran into the water and i kept calling it to make it get out of the water and i saw that it was taking damage so i went into the water to see what was happening and i saw 3 or four mantas attaking it lets just say i actualy cried

These are in the my top 3 most hated creatures in ark, (1st and 2nd being the leech and the lamprey). Reason why I hate mantas: They are ugly in my opinion; a full on gang of more than 10 of these interfered while I was taming sharks which was to help fight these annoying things off; and finally, when I tried to tame an itchyosaurus so I could explore the sea, these chased me back into the shore.

Mantas DO aggro icthys! Do not listen to those who say they don’t, they 100% do.

A diplocaulus is faster than these guys in water!!! Upbote

If you find one your can easily kill it, but if they are in a group don't bother even a megalodon won't stand a chance they shredded my high-level megalodon like paper

Okay I want to clear this up. I am sure most of you already know but there seems to be a little confused on the term non violent tame, It does not mean the creature is not violent it means it is tamed by passively feeding it like a Lystrosaurus instead of knocking it out like a Dodo. For the manta particularly you may be concerned but don’t worry if you are on an Icthyosaurus ( easy to tame at a high enough level there is even a quest that walks you through taming one) they won’t attack you I don’t recommend going anywhere near them without an aquatic mount though. Be forewarned however they are only tamed by a fairly rare substance called angler gel so keep playing to find some I would check here on Dododex for creatures that drop it (other than anglerfish of course that one is pretty implied)

Ok so this thing kills you with a electric tail but it’s a manta a sting ray is the one with the electric stinger

If you see one of these do not approach it or it will attack you, I thought this was a non violent creature so i approached it. My frog was on neutral and the manta hit me so the frog attacked and it died since the manta brought more mantas. Beware of these horrible creatures.

An easy tame if you put enough anglergel in your hotbar. I've never had a problem with them being too agro. To the guy who said they're "aggressive in real life, rip Steve irwin" Actually, Steve Irwin was a show off idiot who grabbed a sting ray ( not a manta) by the tail. Everyone who uses the sea knows not to do exactly that if you want to live. Apart from that, in real life they are gentle creatures.

Double tamed two megalodons, they killed the lower level one after it got tamed and the remaining one got killed from these things because my brother was going the wrong way to fight off the pancakes and it died

Very annoying, they are aggressive and very fast and usually stay in groups. If you're early-mid game and want to tame one of these things, forget it. They require angler gel.

Alpha Mantalord(One of my creations)apparently killed all Ark bosses when I put it to the test!After that,my PC exploded...When I fixed it there was flipping squid boy killing me in survival hard-core.Fu*k that guy!

I once alphaed a Manta but it could fly...Well,then my PC exploded.DO NOT TRY TO TURN A MATA INTO AN ALPHA!

Look for a Leed, you'll find about 20 swarming it...

I’ve done it… all manta cripple before me and basi they swarm and attack, but that was their last mistake. Get basi!!!!
