Best tip on encountering one is don’t, or try to avoid aggro at all costs, especially unmounted. They can overwhelm you relatively close to shore by stinging you which does significant damage, and if there’s more than one, if could be quite fatal.

Ok so I just tamed a lvl30 meg that was at passive (I was on easy, don’t judge me I just started the game)I was so happy when it tamed but then while I was going home 3 mantas attacked me I was like ok my Sarco can take 3 mantas (i was riding a Sarco) then 500000 more came and killed my meg but I survived. T-T

This thing is the exact opposite of passive if you're just swimming and you swim over their "god" aka the bailo they will get mad and attack you this is actually how my X spino died

These flat demons try so so hard to get on anyone's nerves. One jumped out the water and levetated at me then died. Is that how hard you would try to ruin my day? Really?

It's fun to kill three of them with a kaprosuchus; and then use their fish meat to tame a baryonyx. Try it and you'll agree.😁

Was swimming around with my baryonyx and got swarmed by these before i could get to shore they killed my bary and me. Went back to get my stuff killed me again

These will attack you for no reason I ran in a group of them with my newly tamed Megalodon they killed my megalodon, froggy and more in the end I lost 10 creatures because of them rip the 10 creatures.😪😪😪

Try and stay above them in the water column so they have a hard time hitting you. Then stab the hell out of them with a sword or make your way to shore/ a rock. - These dudes are nasty. They need to be knocked down a notch. I stopped to check the level of another Ichthyosaurus and around 5 of them came out of the coral bed and swarmed me. I barely escaped with my current Ichthy one hit from death.

I am the proud rider of Delta and I just want to say never go near these things if you see one run or shoot it.
