So I once found one of these little sh*ts and thought it was passive like real mantas.
Do not go up to it
It will sting u and everyone in the water!
It is a killer pancake!
I repeat a killer pancake!
Non violent?! Bruh this dude is suuuupper violent .
If you are planning on doing anything involving water prepare to despise these flat horrors. They can out swim you. They can swarm you. They can act friendly and once you turn your back eat your tame. Beware.
They say passive tame because YOU are the one thatโs supposed to be passive, same way it says โnon-violentโ itโs talkin bout you NOT the actual tame, sheesh
This guy killed my lystro and dodo, i am crippled and sad
If caught in open water by a manta fight don't flee. If you have a spear or pike swim up as it gets close. This keeps you above it attack area and puts you in striking range. The manta is slower moving up and down in the water.
The manta is quite dangerous, as it's attacks can punch straight through armour, even flak. They are very fast and unless you have lots of oxygen and speed, you will not escape. Just poke your head underwater and look left and right before crossing the sea. It's like a road, but worse, because roads don't have angry stingrays, very large sharks and/or killer piranha
Note to self: Do not pet the death pancake.
A waffle of maddness
Can't believe my luck, I was flying over Highlands Bay, on Ragnorrock, looking for Mantas to tame. When I saw a Basilasaurus in the Bay. Several Mantas were swimming along with it. I pulled out my spyglass and and found a male and female, 140 & 145, were swimming in the group. So I chomped some bug spray, put my tank on and jumped in. suprisingly, there were not only the male and female I had previously spotted. But, three additional females all above 135, and to add the icing on the cake, the Basilasaurus was also a 135. Some days you can't take two steps without being devoured by a Rex, respawn, only to be devoured by the very same Rex. And then you get days like this, where they fall into your lap. So my tip is to stay vigilante and keep your eyes peeled for those happy surprises. Oh! and don't sweat the large dino that eats you four consecutive times. Happy Arking!!!๐
