I prefer getting this on mobile instead of paraceratherium and it has a water splash attack and stomp attack and an extra drum seat and they are quite easy to tame you can outrun tgem easily and their damage is more than a rex the secondory one

Have a Rex attack it theme kill the rex thene shoot some tranqs

Make sure to have friends at least one other to be on a bird and carrying you so you can shoot it with tranq arrows or darts at a safe height because these things of life do major damage and it would be bad to get count by a few trying to tame one.

Pick it up with a Quetz drop it in a pen/ enclosed area and shoot tranq darts or arrows and feed it Raptor Kibble

The best place to find a mammoth is in the snow biom if wanting to tame you will want a qwetzal to pick it up after it's done taming or bring a saddle for it to ride home and get levels but before taming this beast I would get a berry eater to get the berrys to tame it it's very cold so unlock fur armour and make it or else you will freeze to death out there bring your qutzele with lots of weight and Melle damage to protect your mammoth whilest it tames and weight to carry back to your base to keep it safe from predators around your place and then your done to go of and it's yours to keep.

If you use stimberries to tame it remember your taming effectiveness will go all the way down but the tame will be faster

Do not I repeat do not try to tame a mammoth when you are near a Rex spawn area. like for the two that I lost
