Some people say that because it can carry more wood than the beaver, it's already better than it. Well yes, but actually no. The Beaver still gathers more wood than the mammoth can even if the mammoth can carry a lot more. It's a lot slower to farm wood with a mammoth. Solution? Take the beaver and put the mammoth on follow so you can take both of them for gathering wood. Easy 30k wood per 10 minutes.

Super op tame for a level 30s saddle. Won't even take a scratch due to its huge knockback. Great for charcoal, and super op berry farmer. Super easy to outrun and knock out. Must have tame. Put some points into movement speed, maybe 10 to 15. Huge aoe.

As to a posed of the Giant Beaver, this creature has a bonus where wood is x0.25 it's normal weight, combined with its large carry weight it's the best option for gathering wood. Ps: Giant beaver ' s mod. is x0.5!

Fun fact:If you go to water while riding this creature and use the roar attack (or whatever that is) water will come out of its trunk!

To help out new players, it's the mammoths stomp attack that collects wood.

cut wood with chainsaw and put whe wood in the mammoth, as it has 75% weight reduction its the best way to farm trees. There is a theory that says on scorched earth, the trees are having more hp so they give more wood, but i cant confirm it, you cant tame a mammoth on scorched earth tho.

also, for me, they don’t harvest that much wood and even if they do, they weighed down by it.

So when I learned that you get rare mushrooms while using the mammoth in the swamp trees.I was excited but the swamp is a place full of pretty dangerous creatures.So I brought backup just incase and well my backup was a theri and a spino.I was riding my mammoth to get the rare mushrooms while I let my theri and my spino to handle all the nasties.And it was a success.I got alot of rare mushrooms,fiber from the theri,and meat from the spino.It was fun.Also I play on mobile btw if anyone's curious

My tip is using a wyvern, agroing it and then jump up on the back of the whyvern ( not ride ) and then shoot the mamoth wich will be stck in your wyvern.

While using mammoth to clear some trees for wood. Do not I repeat DO NOT let it run out of stamina its topar will go up quickly and it will go to sleep.

You can put helmet armor on them for additional armor

Be warned of the creatures low stamina. You’ll find it hard to compete in drawn out battles if you don’t pump stamina.

To find a mammoth on the island is only in the snow biome. Same with extinction, and genesis part 1. Sadly scorched earth, aberration, and if not rag and the other map do not have mammoths.

If you just want it for thatch in ARK Mobile (Old one), you're better off using a Theri. This guy gives a horrible amount of thatch (10 per swing) at lv 300. My lv 50 Theri literally gives about 45 per tickle.

Conclusion: Mammoth gives abysmal thatch in Ark Mobile

Swims and runs surprisingly quick too,managed to beat 4 megalodons simultaneously underwater.
