Tips & Strategies

What are tips for lystrosaurus? Tips and strategies for lystrosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Great little guys. Tamed one before knowing what it did and named it Glorble. They’re amazing to take on hunting or resource gathering trips as they give an XP bonus when they’ve been pet. Unfortunately lost Glorble thanks to my low level dumbness thinking I could take on a carbo with an axe. Pro tip- if hunting, keep them out of the thing you’re attacking me reach and set them on passive. Invest in speed and health buffs. They’re not hard to tame, just follow it while holding its proffered berry in your hotbar and feed it when it’s hungry.
Ok so mine took about 10 Moji Barries, so be ready with a lot because it can very from a few to like 13. But in the end it’s worth it. And it’s little waddle run is so cute. Patting this fella helps your other dinos level up pretty fast, so a team of them would be extremely helpful if all your dinos are pretty low levels. This guy is just soo cute. Also I named my after a Lestrange Brother, I don’t know why but the name of this fella’s breed just reminds me of Lastrange.
Fun fact the Lystro is an ancient ancestor of mammals. When you see one tame it, they can be very rare. I suggest using mejoberries. These guys are tough, but can't take on fast dinos like Raptors. Trust me I learned the hard way... "Your Lystrosaurus lvl 13 was killed by lvl 23 Raptor".
easy to tame lynthos are also good for killing
Usually passive. But if u steal the egg they will attack you. It was Creapy.
They will not hurt anything unless you make them attack
1. Do not knock him out.
2. Feed him any berries, mejoberrys are more effective.
3. Don't let him get hungry for long time because the taming % will start dropping, so stay with him and wait until he get hungry again and feed him.
You can feed it betrays to tame it just tame one frist
They are kind of like puppies! Just make sure you have an enclosure for them so that they don’t get hurt trying to protect you and be a good Doggo ;-;
These are dangerous they killed me while trying to get and egg to feed me and I SWEAR 10 CAM OUT AND KILLED ME
I just started out on a new single player world and one of these was the first Dino I tamed, and then also the second, third, fourth and fifth. They follow me everywhere (albeit they are slow) and XP buff each other so they level really fast. I put each level into carry weight and boom- five level 70 pack horses in my first hour on a new ark. Each one can carry many stacks of rocks and wood. The only problem is: they eat all my berries.
I hav a lyst and I pet him every 5 mints sooo I just got kicked in the butt wen I was trying to tame this guy by a super stupid raptor too bad it was lvl 26 I could tame him but he ran
Run
This dinosoar is a relativey easy game for even early level players since it is a passive tame, won't attack you, and only needs berries. So to conclude, mejoberries are good to have. That is pretty much all you need. Also, once tamed out of next to other dinosoars in you have any because when you let it it will gov a small XP boost to nearby dinosoars.
