Sometimes the taming bar may go down, you should stop trying. Just move on to another one.
One of the easiest tames and one of the most intelligent it inspires others for an xp boost so always have one with others and takes at least 10 berries to tame place berries in last slot and you can hand feed it!
Great House pet keeps peace of mind even when everything is going to hell
Lystrosaurus is almost entirely useless, but can provide a slight exp boost for you and your tames so here’s a guide to help you tame one.
1. Lystrosaurus are found all over the beaches and many grasslands of the islands. They can be perfect tamed with rare flowers or mejoberries and require very few of either a few rare flowers or 20ish mejos for a lvl 150. I would not recommend using normal berries since you can gather enough mejos at any stage of the game for higher effectiveness
2. Lystros are a passive tame and very slow which makes them very easy to tame. The main danger you will need to watch out for is carnivores like raptors or dilos that will attack you or the lystro and complicate the taming. To avoid interruptions, you can kill all nearby hostiles, or carry it to a safe location.
3. Once you have prepared simply feed it your food of choice every time it is hungry until tamed!
Happy taming!
I have one named LIL bud. I take him on walks to get Berries so he can get XP. He is my first dinosaur 🦖.
If you can find them, rare flowers work best to tame fast and easy.
