It's the slowest underwater tame in the game, with every wild creature being able to catch up to it (and kill your tame) except cnidaria (50% slower), basilos (16% slower but why would you get rage debuff with it), anglerfish (literally 4% slower so they'll probably still catch up to you given that you're riding on it with some of its weight taken up), and all small fish except piranhas.

But with the amount of stamina it has, every underwater tame still could catch up to you.

You can tame these with yellow kibble as well 👌

For y’all complaining about it disappearing: READ. THE. DAMN. DOSSIER.

The Dossier mentions that due to its “magical” abilities, it can “even escape the strictest of confinement”. Because they show you underwater loot, it would be too overpowered if they didn’t have the time limit.

My friend also tamed it with quetz kibble take note it can also be tamed with quetz kibble instead of honey.

They are not bad to tame because they can gather treasure very effectively.

The best place to tame is on Crystal Isles. They spawn regularly and theres access to a huge honey cave. You can do easy loot crate run immediately after taming. I would suggest taking a water tame with you, Basi works nice. Eels and Jellies! Good luck on your fortunes.

One time me and my brother mistook one for a mosasaurs, and killed it. Not realizing it was a liopleurodon. 😭

It's bad, it should feel bad, and Wildcard should feel even more bad. I actually got consistently worse desert drops than normal. Zero stars.

A lot of people complaining, but with this guy I found 3 ascendant rocket launchers! These are very good, even after he flew to candy mountain, I still got a lot of good stuff.

Per my experience, wild liopleurodons aren’t aggressive to you but are to any other liopleurodons that you have tamed. I don’t know if they are aggressive towards tames in general.

I just tamed one of these on *Mobile* with Therizinosaurus Egg Kibble, the same as the Basilos so you dont need giant bee honey

Short and simple...

The critter is ultra rare, passive tame with bee honey, hostile when you are MOUNTED, flees by poof magic if harmed. Is your buddy for 30mins then poofs. Gives you oily skin that lasts 6hrs, ALL LOOT CRATES WILL SPARKLE during the effect drastic upgrade on loot quality, primative turns to ascendant.... hunt those BPs... effect ends after: 6hrs, you leave server, use a bed, log off or DCed.... in short, don't waste it....

Whenever your riding this machine, anything you pass in the ocean will follow you non stop, maybe this could be used for taming other big monsters

Taming

Use giant honey bee that can gather using honeycomb.

Use rare flowers to produce giant honey bee in the comb.

Just wait for your rare flowers to be honey bee then take it just as you wish. But they spoil really fast.

How to keep as long as you wish.

After you tame you can wait until it almost times up or just kill your tame (Liopleurodon) then take out it's implant and keep it in the implant chamber ( I can't remember it's name) that freezes the implant timer so long it has power.

So that way whenever you want your tamed creature just revive it in an underwater revival platform using some ancient amber.

**You have to get Tek implant chamber BP, Tek revival platform BP, to achieve above steps or you will lose your tame please mind that**

All i can say, once you tame them and you ride it you will get a 30mins buff from them. After taming, you can throw them aside and continue with your crate hunting. Take note, they will disappeared in 30mins not 6 hours.

Used to better your underwater loot crates, but they are a pain to tame sometimes, slow, and you can hardly tell they made a loot difference. So utility? Cool looking at best :)

If your Dino can kill one before it teleports away your Dino has very good DPS

My lvl 230 Basilosaurus passed the test btw

On ASA tame one and hit every drop available. Or sit on carno and farm the drops that fall there.
