Saw these a few times flying around. First real encounter I was taming a tape and had a spike wall around it. As I’m watching for aggressive flyers I failed to notice it’s approach. Then I see it calmly walking it the taming area through a small gap. I freeze thinking that maybe it can’t see me in my ghillie suit. It walks past circles the tape looks me dead in the eye and snuffs my bird. I emptied my shotgun into it.

Smaller but faster then the stegosaurus, these guys get mad if you or your pets get to close to them, they’re like the Angsty teens of ARK!

Shoulder-mounted dinos do not take return damage when biting the Kentro. A well-bred dimo can do serious damage if you happen to get stuck by one of these.

I had a cool iguanadon, just minding his own business while I was building a trap on the plains... Meanwhile a kentro just waltzes up, from outta nowhere and murdered him... I didn't even know it happened until the news flashed at the top of the screen 'kentrosaurus killed your iguanadon' fml...😵‍💫

As far as I know they reflect part of the damage back to the attacker

The only way to kill a kentro and not get any of your tames hurt is, grenade him up. Any weapon from which you can kill it from a far distance counts. Good luck.

Dont walk into its line of sight. It will impale you and it will be up to your dinos to kill/KO it.

Do not battle this like a stego, lost my best sanertooth messin with them.

These are annoying, whenever I try to spawn these guys litterslly rush to me a attack and even dmg is low it attacks fast.

In the wild, take them down with Wyvern breaths or leave them alone.

If one of those is employed by enemies, make use of Compound Bows or Velonassaurs in case getting near isn't a possibility.

If you absolutely need to bite those things, use a Reaper King, as they reduce any source of damage - aside poisonous breaths - when not affected by light, including damage reflected by Arthropleuras and Kentrosaurus. Remember, damage reflection ignores saddles.
