In the wild, take them down with Wyvern breaths or leave them alone.
If one of those is employed by enemies, make use of Compound Bows or Velonassaurs in case getting near isn't a possibility.
If you absolutely need to bite those things, use a Reaper King, as they reduce any source of damage - aside poisonous breaths - when not affected by light, including damage reflected by Arthropleuras and Kentrosaurus. Remember, damage reflection ignores saddles.

It's a smaller stego with lots of spikes. I do not recommend petting it.
First encounter: I saw one and thought it was a mutated stego, I legit cried when it started chasing me and focking ran like I was in the walking dead š. My pants went from dry as a desert to a dam ocean

Be very careful, these things are wicked strong attackers. I watched one take out a whole trio of all Allasaurs at once!
These thing are basically living spike walls, they impaled my dodo, so I got out my lvl.378 Rex, Fully imprinted, 60k+ health, 4000 melee, 215+speed. And killed it, for now on when Iām on my Rex, Iām going to slaughter every kentro I see, with my Rex Iām finna slaughter it. #Remembering josh the dodo..
If you accidentally press E and happen to land on these things just pretend it's a mobile giant Lego piece. It will make the experience at least more bearable

So after a great day out in the abb zone, murdering spino after spino, karkino after karkino, even taking down an alpha karkino, Me and my wyvern were ready to head home to a heroes welcome BUT....I was unfortunate enough to run out of stamina half way and landed next to two of these pricks (no pun intended). Ember was dead before she could catch a single breath...
They do percentage based damage and with the ability to stop you moving, these things are actually more dangerous than a giga...
It's best to leave them alone unless you want to tame them. They act like spike walls, so you and your dino take damage when you melee it, and it's a lot of damage, even low level ones do a lot. If you want to kill one, it's best to use ranged attacks like a gun or a wyvern blast.
