Great tame. Would recommend getting this as a starter mount, it has almost infinite stamina and it runs REALLY fast. In my opinion the iguanodon is one of the best dinosaurs in the game

In the very early game, up until you have a bow, these guys are pretty hard to take on. I've seen one conquer two raptors and still keep most of its health, so DON'T HIT THEM.

Love the fact that you have infinite stamina if running i think this is good game design

Beat Dino for taming gigas as all you have to do is pump most of your levels into speed because they have 0 stam drain

They have infinite stamina when are on all 4d's when there on all 2s they can jump(high) and attack and can plant seeds into the ground from there inventory verry good early tame update so people can see

These Guys Are Pretty Common So It's Pretty Easy To Encounter A Really Good Tame Recommend Taming It

They jump so high but the seed ability helps plant crops or berries

Iguanodon kinda like baryonx but eat fruit and can't swim faster but the stamina..ohoho..so amazing :))

Usually, if its level 60 or under, you can bola it and hit it with a club enough to either knock it out, or raise its torpor so it will flee and not attack.

Just got back into ark, tamed a level 140 iggy on genesis 1, absolutely carried me, they are very strong, weigh a lot, extremely fast, and easy to tame. They farm narcoberries and thatch with ease, my iggy which I pumped a lot of points into attack to be fair, soloed a level 140 Sarco and helped me to tame a spino. Definitely should tame one, by far my favorite (and best in my opinion) starter tame.

They are end and start game creatures the saddle is easy to craft abd they are REALLY easy to tame u just need to bola it or don't, give it berry's and BOOM if it still has some click and u have SEEDS cuz gachas u know and rock carrots anyway they even have INF stamina also kinda strong sooooooo names i kinda have cringe and cool ones cringe: iggy, speedy, seedy. Cool ones: idk

Mejoberries seem to be really effective as usual, by 3 minutes ours was almost halfway. Took 2 shots with tranq crossbow shot to take her down.

It’s pretty easy in maps where yiu have sand like sunset beach or bright lion beach on lost island(if you want an hard challenge trust me sunset and bright lion beach are hard) ragnarok if easy and you need kevel 9 for boomerange to knock it out and bolas and feed it mejoberries

So I tamed an iguanodon fairly early on in my current play of the game. I always level health high and then speed. I started to realize just how fast she was and how tanky she got. I started leveling damage and weight. As of now I can easily tank rex attacks and beat alpha carnos. I haven’t found an alpha rex yet but I’m hunting. I can also run the entire map in half the time an argentavis can fly it. I’m starting to level oxygen so that we can just ruin anything and everything. If you take the time and level them really well, I think they could be giga killers but at least really good at traveling especially given the smaller size compared to most tanks. The fact that they don’t have to use stamina, and are faster if they don’t, is definitely a plus. Combine that with the fact that they have a very vertical jump and you can scale the steepest of mountains in a few minutes.

TLDR: take your time and level them right and you’ll have one of the best mounts in the game for traveling or otherwise.

Best Travelling creature I know, has unlimited stamina in one mode and can attack in the other, up speed, hp and dumb, and you got your dream travelling mount!

To knock this bad boy out all you need is a bola and a club. First, bola it and beat it in the head with a club. The best berries to usr are Mejoberries. Also remeber that stim berries wake dinos up and narco berries make it go night night for longer. Their saddles can be made at level 30.

Personally I really like this Dino its really easy to get cause I didn't even need a bow if you hit them from the right angle from the Bola they can't attack you so you can just use a bat and I went through the entire red forest and the mountains with it tamed two argies and a baryonx so really good for early game and if you level enough you can two hit a spino

This is much better than the Parasaur, it’s easier to tame and gathers more berries literally all you need to do is bola it and knock it out with a club and then feed it berries and then boom iguanodon, he also got mad hops 😉

Make a taming pen on a raft the shoot with tranqs, slingshot or a club. After go get some majo Barrie’s or carrots. Let the tame stay unconscious for about 20 to 25 min then give it Barrie’s. Make sure to keep the tame unconscious with narcobarries or narcotics. This really works because I tried it and it work like a charm
