I went to the herb island and tamed 5 of these, and they kill a meg without any of them dying

How to Tame an Ichthyosaurus

With Dodo Kibble

1. Activate the “Tame: Ichthyosaurus” pursuit. If it doesn’t show up, you haven’t completed the “Tame: Dodo” pursuit yet.

2. Make Dodo Kibble (2 for level 30, 4 for level 150, 7 for level 300, and 10 for level 450).

3. Find an Ichthyosaurus—don’t worry, they don’t bite—and feed it Dodo Kibble. Do this every time the Ichthyosaurus is hungry.

4. Once it’s tamed, the pursuit will reward you with a saddle—and the Old Smelly Fish skin—for your new Ichthyosaurus.

Without Dodo Kibble

1. Activate the “Tame: Ichthyosaurus” pursuit. If it doesn’t show up, you haven’t completed the “Tame: Dodo” pursuit yet.

2. Kill some dinosaurs and harvest their corpses with a pickaxe for Raw Meat (12 for level 30, 40 for level 150, 75 for level 300, and 111 for level 450).

3. Find an Ichthyosaurus—don’t worry, they don’t bite—and feed it Raw Meat. Do this every time the Ichthyosaurus is hungry.

4. Once it’s tamed, the pursuit will reward you with a saddle—and the Old Smelly Fish skin—for your new Ichthyosaurus.

In different areas they’ll be different colors so like herbivore island they will sometimes be red and silver or different assortment of the same colors if you find them in different areas they will most likely all have two or one color similar(found one that was gold and blue with a Silver belly and her friends were either gold and different colors or blue and different colors) hope this tip is useful

Level only speed. Then see how fast you can get. They’re simple takes, and don’t get attacked by anything. At least in my experience. But level only speed. And maybe a little bit of carry weight. You go zoom out of the water🤣

In ARK mobile none of the dinos attack a tamed ichthyosaurus.

for mobile players, tamed icthyosaurus’ don’t get attacked, ONLY if ur riding them

if u aren’t, make sure to have them somewhere safe, 5 of my icthy’s were murdered by megalodons and mantas

I thought sea creatures won't attack you when you're mounted to it but a bunch of megalodons and mantas are swarming towards me while mounted. I ignored my freaking thalassophobia for this, and i will never go in the water again.

This mount consumes a huge amount of fish meat and he really can’t produce it back so better have a lot of fish

Honestly these are my favorite water tames they are so easy to tame because they are passive and swim right up to you then on mobile you get a free saddle from the pursuit. These guys are extremely fast and if your on mobile nothing will agro on you or your icthy unless you get off or attack they are also amazing for getting black pearl because they can kill the mini sea scorpions without taking torpor. All around they are just amazing.

Once you get the saddle give the turtle you tamed a lot of speed and lure some itchys to the shallows just make sure they don’t go on land

The ichthyosaurus has now sadly lost the de-aggro ability in mobile.......

Make certain that after you've successfully tamed it you make it stop following you before you run out of the water. Poor, sweet, sad, dead fishy... :(

Cnidaria don’t attack you when you ride one of these!

Passive taming is currently broken in ark mobile you they don't get hungry after feeding them once.

"Nothing will aggro on you if u ride this guy"

But why does everything still and want to kill me? I can our run them but i just want a nice swimming around with under the sea background music.

Most overlooked creature! It's 10/10 for underwater caves and great for early game traveling. I highly recommend grabbing 2 high levels and breeding them to get %100 imprint on them so that they get 120 speed which can out run everything. I can think of.

So I’m on mobile and it tames pretty easily (Love you Salmon❤️) but DONT TAKE IT INTO SHALLOW WATER, IT WILL GET STUCK! Poor salmon is stuck...I love these guys but I wish they didn’t get stuck as much
