I’m pretty sure they make compy noises. I was trying to tame one and I kept hearing a compy, like really close. But it confused me because compys shouldn’t be underwater but nope, it’s an ichthyosaurus.

(I don’t know if it’s a bug or something but it’s kinda funny)

How to tame a ichyosaurus in ark mobile.

1. Look in the water, they are mostly found in giant ponds or the ocean from my experience. They most likely try to hug you.

2. Have dodo kibble or raw fish meat in your hotbar

3. approach ichy and click the dodo kibble or fish meat once your near it.

Continue doing this untill it is tamed.

4. If you are doing "Tame ichyosaurus" quest, then you will get a acsendant ichyosaurus saddle.

Information and tips about ichyosaurus:

If you have acsendant saddle and high level ichyosaurus, level up melee and health, you will have a incredibly strong ichy. People say they are weak, but if you do that it will be really strong, and I know its true because I tamed a high level ichy with ascendant saddle and I killed brontos, megalodons, sarcos and more. I really recommend dodo kibble for taming. Try getting a hungry low level ichy first and when you try taming a higher level, it will be WAY easier. Don't worry, they will never hurt you unless they are being ridden by another person in PVP and they decide to attack you. Goodluck taming a ichyosaurus!

One of the best water dinos. It doesn't aggro other water dinos unless you attack them. EXCEPTION: YOU CAN ATTACK ALPHA MOSA OR THE REGULAR ONE AND IT WON'T AGGRO BACK ON YOU.

Just don't use sword or arrows, the mosa will attack you back even riding itchy. Just use itchy to kill mosa, you'll be safe (even for alpha).

Bring a lot of food for itchy, attacking will hunger the itchy.

If your ever gonna want too start taming sea creatures this is the must have. It’s the fastest underwater mount and you unlock its saddle at a lower level. Great for collecting oil.

It takes faster and easier with raw meat. But Dododex thinks it only eats raw pine meat and raw prime fish meat.

You can usually find these by the coast and occasionally in rivers. But watch out, they may attract sharks

The Ichtyosaurus is VERY useful! You can easily tame them using raw meat (not fish meat like the goofy pursuit says) or the EASIEST KIBBLE, dodo kibble.

Just passively feed them by placing the food in hot bar, approaching the Ichthy, and tapping on the food to feed. The Ichthys make this easier by following you around.

Once tamed, they are generally ignored by aquatic predators, but only if you're riding it. Ichthys that aren't being rode on will be attacked.

They do decent damage and attack fast, so have fun killing Megalodons with your low level Ichthy (like I did).

Don’t worry about aggressive or territorial creatures on ichy. I think even sarcos leave u alone. Don’t walk up to one with a ichy tho cuz I still dont know for sure. (This is for mobile)

Did you know that these guys are actually more aggressive than you think? We know they are friendly to the player and tames but it’s not the same for wild Dino’s they hunt kariukus which actually kinda makes sense (I think) but you might be able to see one fight wild ankys or carbomenys/turtles

Wanna farm anglergel without any problem? tame these bad boiz Nothing will attack you when your on a itchy and you can just go deep kill angler very easily.. the angler fish wont attack back idk why but yeah... also just be careful and keep an eye on your oxygen thats the only problem you'll face unless you have a scuba gear... good luck! and tame these right now!!!!!! they are the best i only just discovered that.

This thing has no equal on speed in the water, just be very careful after investing points into it since the lag can cause some things to appear right when you are on top of them. Also they are very squishy so a pack of jelly fish will usually spell the end for it if you get caught.

Here's how to tame a ichthy.

1. You will want to search the ocean. They aren't hard to find, so seeing one will be no biggie.

2. Once you spot some/one, get some fish meat.

3. When you have the fish meat, go to the ichthy or the ichthy will come to you.

4. They are very friendly, so you don't have to worry about being killed; except for the creatures around it that will attack you.

5. Feed it fish until its tamed.

6. Now you have an ichthy!

They have a stealth feature that nothing will attack you while riding one. If you attack something, say, a megalodon, the meg will attack once, then leave you alone while you’re killing it. But if you dismount, then get back on, the stealth is disabled. WARNING! NEVER ATTACK CNIDARIA! If you do, you will die and lose your ichthy.

People say it takes SOOOOOOOOO long, but just use dodo kibble. It is very simple to make.

Ingredients:

1. dodo egg

2. Couple of rockarrots

3. Some Fiber

4. Mejoberries.

5. Water

A quick guide for all the ark mobile players out there :)

Taming - Easy. You just need 5-7 meat for lower levels. It’s a passive tame, and i recommend you do the taming in shallow area free of mantas and megalodons.

Use - It is a good mount for travelling across beaches and moving to different places. It also makes a good mount for leading a swarm.

Stats - It has good health compared to similar sized dinos, good stamina, high speed, and average damage. If a seasoned player rides an ithcy, it can take on a megalodon (because the megalodon AI is garbage) with ease.

Saddle-making - A bit expensive compared to standard saddles. It uses 10 raw metal so keep it in mind.

It is a very viable early game tame and can be taken on expeditions for oil and other materials

If you only upgrade their melee damage they'll mash that megalodon in BITES

Speedy boi go so fast, Get Megalodons distracted by a turtle or something and poke them with that needle nose.
