These guys are tough and can take out a lv90 suvivor in a few hits, have a flying creatures, lure em into a trap, shoot em a few times til they're knocked out then feed them raw mutton, while giving them narcotics (1000) over time, to tame em, it takes a while so be patient

If you think knocking and trapping the griff is hard, think again. Know that without allo kibble you’ll sit there for actual hours. I’ve had a griff tame for 9+. I had to go to sleep and somehow it didn’t wake. Just be prepared.

I need help. I’m level 89 and higher lvl griffins like level16 don’t respect me. Why? I’m just trying to find a wife for my griffin 😂

Try using a chain bla to bla it then knock it out with a long neck rifle with traq darts,that's my tip

how to tame:

1. find the highest lvl griffin possible

2. stare at it for a few mins

3. make sure nothing else is around. in target distance

4. use admincheat forcetame.

Everyone if you can’t tame the griffin and your on tablet I think then it’s because it’s royal griffin not just normal one so you need the same last name to tame it!

How to mass tame(Best for PVE)

1) Build 1-3 traps made out of 3 stone gateways and 2 reinforced gates on top of a rock on crystal isles by the griffin trench

2) Get a harpoon launcher with net projectiles (unlockable in genesis 2 engram section)

3) Get any flyer, preferably ptera, snow owl or griffin and bait a high lvl griffin over to ur trap

4) When the griffin is close, quickly fly over to the trap and land right behind it, repeat until the griffin flies into the trap

5) Dismount and net gun the griffin

6) Close the gate

7) U can also trap more griffins if u built more traps

8) Shoot with tranq arrows if you know it has 4k+ hp, if it has less you can do half with arrows half with darts or just with darts.

Other:

This is how I mass tamed alot of griffins on a PVE server where they are breedable, it really helped me with breeding amazing griffins

On the server I did this there's 2.5x tame speed and 2x food drain rate and I never have to use narcotics, so if on the server ur doing this it's similiar or the same u don't need any narcotics

Use a taming pen like the one everybody uses for the Argentavis

You'll have a great time taming this. Heh Heh. Better have your prime ready boys!

Tame a low level griffin first and use it to chase down the higher level ones when they're torpor fleeing. No need for a taming pen if done right.

Mutton is always faster but on this one it's only 10 min faster, and seeing how you can't breed every level counts so going with kib is best bet to get those 4 extra levels

Make a taming pen near their spawn with pillars and a Dino gate, works great!

Mutton, cooked mutton, prime, raw in that order as I've tested. Still a long tame for 140, so far I've used 200 narcs to keep asleep not starve taming and I'm just blowing narcs cuz idfc. Easy to fly into a trap and tranq. Used about 50-62 tranqs as I was attacked by pvpers while taming and used some on them I'm not sure. Official.

The information is not correct you need about 40 arrows to tame a lvl 1 griffin! Dony make the same mistake as me going to tame a griffin with small amount of arrows, ark wiki shows correct info about the griffin if you are going to tame one! Hope dodoex will change the info soon.

If you want to get a griffin easily (in my opinion) just get a flying animal that can pick up anything the size of like a parasaur.Then get your flying animal to pick up something a griffin would attack.Then lure it in your trap and boom! Easy Tame!

They are hard to tame on mobile you need to be such a high lvl to tame on mobile it not even funny

They WILL NOT eat any kibble on Xbox/PC console! Cryo a sheep, trap griffin, tranq it till knocked out, pull sheep out and kill it for it's meat, put both meat and about 200 narcotics in it's inventory.
