If you think knocking and trapping the griff is hard, think again. Know that without allo kibble you’ll sit there for actual hours. I’ve had a griff tame for 9+. I had to go to sleep and somehow it didn’t wake. Just be prepared.

I need help. I’m level 89 and higher lvl griffins like level16 don’t respect me. Why? I’m just trying to find a wife for my griffin 😂

Try using a chain bla to bla it then knock it out with a long neck rifle with traq darts,that's my tip

how to tame:

1. find the highest lvl griffin possible

2. stare at it for a few mins

3. make sure nothing else is around. in target distance

4. use admincheat forcetame.

Everyone if you can’t tame the griffin and your on tablet I think then it’s because it’s royal griffin not just normal one so you need the same last name to tame it!

How to mass tame(Best for PVE)

1) Build 1-3 traps made out of 3 stone gateways and 2 reinforced gates on top of a rock on crystal isles by the griffin trench

2) Get a harpoon launcher with net projectiles (unlockable in genesis 2 engram section)

3) Get any flyer, preferably ptera, snow owl or griffin and bait a high lvl griffin over to ur trap

4) When the griffin is close, quickly fly over to the trap and land right behind it, repeat until the griffin flies into the trap

5) Dismount and net gun the griffin

6) Close the gate

7) U can also trap more griffins if u built more traps

8) Shoot with tranq arrows if you know it has 4k+ hp, if it has less you can do half with arrows half with darts or just with darts.

Other:

This is how I mass tamed alot of griffins on a PVE server where they are breedable, it really helped me with breeding amazing griffins

On the server I did this there's 2.5x tame speed and 2x food drain rate and I never have to use narcotics, so if on the server ur doing this it's similiar or the same u don't need any narcotics

They WILL NOT eat any kibble on Xbox/PC console! Cryo a sheep, trap griffin, tranq it till knocked out, pull sheep out and kill it for it's meat, put both meat and about 200 narcotics in it's inventory.

Get a friend to grapple to a pteranodon with really good stamina to tranq it.

They should of made this one a steal egg to tame instead.

1. Make trap, place trap usually a 4 stone gates with equal distancing and 2 gates obviously.

2. Kill everything around trap, the griffon will go after anything and it will be a hastle trying to get it follow you.

3. When you get griffon to follow you make sure to get close by trap when he starts so he gets in when he first hits you. If your far away and then he catches up to you he will fly around you and not go into the trap.

4. Once griffon is traped make sure to get some sort of protection around trap just in case a carno spawns in or anything you know how ark is.

5. Tame it and have fun

WAIT 5 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH SHOT WITH A CROSSBOW!!!! You will kill the Griffin if you rapid fire even though it says there is no chance of death with a crossbow.

Don’t use this Dino for non gate taming cause their range is INSANE and what’s pickup able is weird and unfinished. They can’t pick up things like dire wolfs but they can pick up megalanias

I disagree with high torpor drop. It’s more like medium. Let torpor go all the way down, then narc, it rises as slow as it drops.

Plz fix ur taming timers tAmed a 140 but ur thing was off by 10-20 minutes with half kibble half mutton

A good idea is to get an egg farm of lystros as lystrosaurus kibble is used for diplodocus kibble that is used for allos then you use that allo kibble for the griffin. Easy way to work your way up the ladder to get you lots of griffins and allos for PvP.
