Gigantopithecus is passively tamed by carefully approaching from behind and feeding it Mejoberries or preferred kibble, with Ghillie armor and a secure enclosure helping prevent interruptions. It is an excellent fiber and berry gatherer, while also serving as a powerful saddle-free mount, bodyguard, and cave companion capable of strong attacks, knockback, and throwing riders. When encountered, keep your distance because it can quickly overpower survivors and tames in close combat. Use ranged weapons and strong protection, or lure it toward a stronger creature rather than engaging directly.
