How to Tame

1 Get a lot of Mejo Berries (get them from large breachiosauruses or Diplodocus) and some ghille gear

2 crouch behind it and give it some Mejo Berries every time it gets hungry.

3 Name it and it does not need a saddle to ride!

Ghille makes the gigantopithecus Agro only if you hit it, you can literally walk right up to its face and it won’t attack you

Badass creature. I heard that it can be tamed passively and go near it with berries. I don't know why it attacked me and killed mi. This is happened with me 6 times 😠😠😠😠

Fresh coffee fruit does NOT tame these on prim+ as of 7/16/19 - says “put food in last slot to tame” even with fresh coffee fruit in that position.

Biggest waste of time cuz Dododex lies about the timer been using Mejos to gain 14 lvls at 20% but instead it’s taming at lower rate bad job Dododex

Very easy to tame if you have the time if u can use stone to build trap all you need it one foundation 4 stone doorframe a place 3 of the four frames down gets its agro run through door frame fly away come back then crouch when u walk up and it won't agro the rest or the tame plus it stays in one spot, if u tame during next 3.5 I did a lvl 20 in half a hour ish. Ps if u want u can use wood to build trap but once it defeatist the first time it beats the wood up bad and if u agro it again it we'll break the wood I learned the hard way on a lvl 5 recommend keeping you finger away from the punch button if you use wood

It's one of the longest barrie tames to do and getting Titatboa eggs is VERY hard . Strongly recommend just getting the fiber yourself.

Easy tame:it will take 2 minute do then you can feed him without agro him. Get 1 wood foundation 3 thatch door frame 18 thatch wall 1 wooden hole Window 1 ladder pull place the foundation and door frame 1 way open hit the giga and run inside make him chase you then replace the frames with walls replace thatc walls if it get close to black,don't let him destroy when he stop hiting place the roof and ladder go near walls if you can feed him through or from top of the building don't fall inside

Feed it once leave it for a while until it’s food is low enough

Found In the redwood biome, getting close behind it with mejoberries in your last slot will tame it, then be sure and shave it with scissors!

Just a tip but if you are taming one of these put on a Netflix show in the background and feed it (it needs to be in a trap for this to work) I for me I’m taming a level one 😭 with the blue berries and it’s going up by 3%
