The things you need to tame a giga:-

1)Flyer (recommending an argy).

2)4-5 dinosaur metal gateways.

3)1-2 large bear traps.

4)10x soothing balm if your playing on mobile.

5)Your KO weapon (most recommended are ascendant longneck rifle or ascendant crossbow).

6)Your KO ammo (bring a decent amount).

7)Taming food of your choice (most recommended is raw prime meat or kibble if you can).

8)Decent amount of narcotics or bio toxin.

FIND GIGA: gigas usually spawn at mountains. On the island try looking around the volcano or the two mountains in the snow area.

SET YOUR TRAP: take 3 of your metal gateways and make this shape \_/ then put a large bear trap or 2 in the middle. It’s easier if you build the trap on flat ground.

TRAP THE GIGA: get the giga to follow you and make it go inside the trap, then make sure it’s caught in the bear trap. When it’s stuck in the bear trap go behind it and complete the trap with another gateway. The final shape of the trap looks like a Trapezoidal.

KO THE GIGA: even a low level giga has a lot of torpor and it drops fast so keep shooting no matter what. It’s recommended for a tribe-mate to help you.

START FEEDING: put the food in the giga’s inventory and keep an eye on it’s torpor.

Many a tribe have been foolish enough to think they could fight a wild giga with a tamed and ended up with a dead giga. Don't be them.

I was looking to metal to make a saddle then I said to my brother “i am going to tame a giga” as a joke. Not even 10 seconds later a level 55 giga came into view. KEEP IN MIND WE ARE ONLY LEVEL 40!! We are gonna tame it tomorrow with arrows since we don’t have tranq darts😂 wish us luck!

Make 4 metal dino gates and 1 large bear trap. Place three frames and door into an incomplete square and the large bear trap in the I between them. Lure the Giga into the trap and while its trapped place 4th down to make the square. Then just light it up with tranqs

If you fly an argy near it, fly around the shattered ice for a while he will sometimes get stuck between 2 floats and since he is so big he can't move. Then sit nearby with plenty of prime meat or mutton and 125-150 narcotics, you can blast him with darts... He's Yours! (This is how I do it).

Just lure into a metal gate set ups some plant Xs and it will knock out you welcome

I 100% recommend charging straight on a Giga with a wooden club, you won’t regret it.

I have one of these I will tell you how I got mine I was on a big hillside

So I could shoot it from the top I need 150 arrows the taming ones

Mine was a level 20 so you might need more than I did make sure you have prime meat it will tame faster than regular it wakes up really easily so make sure you have narcotic with you I need 200.so you might want more just in case hopefully this helps please like it if it helps 👍🏻

It takes about 5000 stone and 125 slingshots to knock one out

I knocked one out with a HUGE amount of froggo’s I started with 35 frogs all level 100-150 and by the time he fell I had 4 frogs one ^ is a frog memory!

So for taming a giga in mobile its too ez. There is a giga logic in mobile that it will not aggro on you if you are on a tame (any) and unless if you hurt them. So just use a argy, sit under its feet literally and put the metal gates around it and trap it. And then get a distance of atleast 30-40m and start tranqing it. BTW after trapping it, i will recommend to sleep then knock it out after waking bcz it will be starving due to trap logic (only works in mobile). Then put the balm and prime. Boom it will tame instantly due to starving and we dont need to get worried for its torpor drain. Thanks me later...

I love how this actually tells you how many fist hits or club hits it takes as if anyone would be dumb enough to try to knock out a wild giga with bare fists or a melee weapon. If someone shows prrof they knocked it out with their fists and no god mode/cheats on then id give them 100$ cash.

Why Hello everyone!, looking to tame an R-Giga?, 145 to 135/130 or less? Maybe more?, I’m talkin 150! To 155!, ( 155 if you’re on higher than default levels I suppose!)

Anyway let’s get to the point,

First Disclaimer!!! This isn’t a tip for the suitable and well prepared requirements.

Do you wonder if you’ve got what it takes a tame a Giga with JUST some bows and tranq arrows? And you lack the ability to get good rifles or just don’t want to wait that long?, or is the game not giving you a single good blueprint or whatnot for one?

Welll do you ATLEAST have one or 2 JOURNEYMAN Crossbows? Or one JOURNEYMAN crossbow AND a MASTERCRAFT Crossbow?

( and if you’re like me, also have an ascendant compound bow?)

Because approximately 1x Journeyman crossbow with about 283 durability or more, plus 168% weapon damage

( more especially according to my calculations if you’re taming any higher than 145 that I did with this method but I’m not sure how bunch the torpor differs between lvls on R-Gigas.)

Anyway, combine that with a Mastercraft crossbow with 202 weapon damage (or more) and 141 durability ( i know that’s bad, just what mine is at as an example)

(If you don’t have one another better or similar Journeyman crossbow/s should do the same thing.)

Combine that with an ascendant compound bow ( both of my other bows broke so I had to use this) and 741 tranq arrows with only 7 or less misses will knock out a Lvl 145 R1Giga with 261 tranq arrows left.

( again the compound bow probably isn’t necessary whatsoever as long as you have either multiple journeyman or better crossbows.)

Anyway my attempt of taming a 145 R-Giga on Fjordur was a booming Success!.

Mind you I used a trap, and sat there shooting it in the head with mostly guaranteed success in hitting my shots apart from some misses until I got the right position!.

My new R-Giga (male) is black with green stripes and I shall name him Master Chief, I do hope this was helpful in some way or other!.

When you tame a giga it loses 65k health and around half it's damage.

The babies need a ridiculous amount of food. Had to commit genocide to make my little bastard a snack.

I have tamed my first Giga. Two of my eagles died in the process and I died several times myself. However, after two hours I was finally redeemed and my very first giga was tamed. I have never been so happy in this game. (700h)

I didn't have a name right after taming. I wanted to think of one on the way home. My path ran along the northern beach.

After 300-400m, less than 30 seconds later, I ran straight into the arms of a lvl 4 Giga.

I've rarely been as shocked as I was at that moment.

I tried everything to turn my giga around quickly. However, it had a turning circle of what felt like three trucks...
