The giga is a ferocious creature you need about 500 tranq arrows to knock down a 135 make a metal trap and then knock it out with a tranq gun and shocking tranq darts.

If you want to tame a giga just bring a lot of darts whit a good rifle and trap it using 4 metal gateways and a couple of large bear traps try to trap it in a box (first set up something like this using metal gate ways in a shape like this |_| and place the large bear trap in the middle and try to get the giga into the box the large trap will stop the giga form moving for a short time giving you a chance to trap fully so you can start to knock out the giga it can take up to 250 darts for a lvl 300 if mobile and only for a low lvl like 1-50 it can take up to 60-90 darts when you knock it out you have to place A TON of bio toxin or narcotics to keep it a sleep because it torpor go down like FAST and by fast I mean FAST so you have feed it narcotics or bio toxin a lot (if on mobile use a balm best using a 10x balm that you can get form the hunters tubule there not a 100% chance to get balm for the hunter tubule but there is a good chance to get a balm) and use prime meat of if you can kibble well when tamed they get a big nerf because they lose most of their health and a lot of damage so they are weaker but quite useful for raiding and attacking bases so I do recommend to try tame them on a PVP sever or a PVX sever on a PVE sever they are not as useful but they are still a good tame….)

Breeding is best when u raise atleast 6 to 10 at a time. Reward is greater for same time period and time will pass faster for you while occupied feeding so many. Another trick is to run ur gachas for ele while you raise. Two things at once

Easiest way to knock them out is with a Tapejara and a friend. One flies, one shoots tranq darts out of a longneck rifle. Bring way more darts then dododex says, bring kibble and at least 400-500 Narcotics no matter the level.

If your with a friend hold them above the giga with an argy while they shoot the giga with tranqs

Get a snow owl or argy and make sure it has a decent amount of life. Find your Giga and get slightly out of range of it. Set up 4 metal behemoth gates in box formation, but leave the door off the 4th wall facing the Giga. Get on your snow owl and aggro him. You may need to be low for him to follow, so do expect 3-5 bites from it as you lead the Giga into the cage, but often you can do it damage free. Each bite ranges from 200-500 damage depending on lvl, so make sure you can survive the damage.

When you fly up against the back wall, let him bite once more so you know he’s in. Fly up, turn around quick and hotbar the last door in, but stay above him. Fly out and land on top of the gate post. Carefully dismount... I’ve had some funny falls into the cage, but now I use a tek suit and keep my bird far away. Unless the ground is raised/rocky below, he shouldn’t be able to chomp you either way. You may need to bring a few hundred tranqs for high lvl ones, but plug away at him as he runs corner to corner. Bring some spare crossbows or rifles. Have some kibble, or mutton handy (# depending on your server rates) and throw it in his inventory when he goes down. Gigaty gigaty goo!

How to tame a giga u ask? Ez get 4 metal gates place 3 of them in a box don't place the last one put 2 bear traps inside lead the giga to u make it stuck in a bear trap place the metal gate boom 💥 u trapped it and then knock it out put 200 narcotics put some quetzal kibbles boom again u have a giga

Whoever said that giga don’t aggro if you’re on a mount on mobile is only half correct.

I tested this in multiplayer server, it will not aggro on you up close (even if you attack it, though I recommend not doing this because I haven’t test this in single player yet. Trust me, I’ve tried this a few times to lure it into trap and it only aggro when I left my mount)

BUT IT WILL AGGRO ON YOU IF YOU PLACE DOWN ANYTHING NEAR IT. I almost lost my lvl 367 argy because of this. So no, you can’t ride a mount, place metal walls around it and leave to tranq it. It will aggro and immediately attack you. Just build a trap somewhere near and lure it into it is your best option

I have over 1000 damage longneck through massive artifact it only take 12 dart for 150 level giga mean I don’t need trap

Knocking out the giga is the hard part. After you accomplish this, drop kibble and biotoxin into the unconscious beast and sit atop its prone form. Keep the gigas inventory open and watch it's torpor plummet until it gets to around 1500-2000 then pump the biotoxin into it. As long as the gigas torpor is raising, it can't drop. For Knocking out a giga, spare no expense on a metal trap. Use behemoth gates and large bear traps. You can use normal metal gates but it's tricky and I have died and lost many tames this way. Another trick I have used is on The Island. Find a giga in the snow and lead it to the ice floes on the river. The giga will get stuck and then you can tranq it with ease.

All you need to do to tame a giga level 4 is a minor soothing bathe and 3 raw prime meat and a truck load of nac

Once you have knocked out one of these beasts either have the food on you to begin with or have a friend who can get it while you. Sit there and feed it narcotics I swear you look away for ten seconds and it's dropped a quarter of its torpidity.

A decent way to cheese the giga taming is to use a grappling hook and attach to its tail, as it wont be able to hit you, so you can freely shoot its ass

This is for all the mobile players who want a monster! So you need 4 stone gateways and 3 baretraps or one. Get it to chase you make sure you have a box with the way the giga gets in open. You run and let it chase you until you go through. It be trap and run behind it and fill box him like Fortnite. Then knock him out WARNING: you need ALOT of tranqs. Then idk if this always happen but have one 10x palm and one prime meat WARNING: this is how I tamed it then bam! Youre now crying in happiness! Hopefully..,

My first time taming one of these went amazing! You need to be prepared. Here’s some things to follow.

-have appropriate amount of tranqs (don’t stop shooting until it’s out, it’s torpor drops very fast.

-4 metal gateways, 2 large bear trap. Set up 3 gates in a good area to lure the giga, place the large bear traps inside the 3 gates, lure gig, once in bear trap place last gate behind it then start tranqin.

-Bring a bird with good weight an speed and that can take out any threats in the area. You can bring some spike walls if you want aswell to place around gig after KO

-bring bio toxin and cooked prime meat on your bring to preserve longer.

-have around 200 narcotic, (I recommend using soothing balm on mobile too)

for me the real hard part of taming these guys are waiting for my dinos to lay eggs, aside from that all i can really give from experience from taming these guys are non traps taming on flat lands are not your friends, bring an extra 50 darts/arrows in every tame, use a mix of bio toxins and narcotics, make sure to bring some extra kibble (i recommend 3-4), and just incase bring a tribe mate to constantly feed the giga incase it wakes up

Tip on conserving narctotics for this guy: Let his torpor almost completely drain then use a few hundred Narcotics. The time it takes for the torpor to refill and drain again buys you a lot more time.

Also bring a decent carnivore to source raw prime meat on the spot so you don't waste time or taming effectiveness, futher decreasing the narcotics needed.
