I’ve been trying to track one of these down for ages (I’m on mobile)

I imprinted my giga 85% when it was 80% matured it had a solid 30000 hp and 153% melee

If you're using a flier, go straight up. The lose aggro very quickly when they can't chase you. once there, catch your breath and go outside. The big scary monster can't hurt you anymore.

Using tamed gigas in battle is always a horrible option I suggest you get a breeding pair so you can get a fully imprinted giga. Full imprint gigas can have up to 37-42K hp and almost always guaranteed to have 100% melee just remember raising one on official will take 12 days though so be smart with your raised giga

My tames got wipe by wild giga but I had max hp giga

U see it get on gryphon or arge or even quetzal and get the hell out of there

On the island in the snow biome sometimes wild gigas can get stuck on the small icebergs littered across the river that creates the border between the snow and jungle biomes and the water is shallow enough for them to not drown so you might not even need to build a taming pen.

If your on a fiber/boosted server, just build a 2x2 metal behemoth gate filled with large bear traps. Then build a tower outside to shoot it with tranqs. Lead it in, it'll get stuck in the traps. After that, close the doors and go up your tower and tranqs it. They can't break metal so it's gonna be stuck.

Whilst giga is chasing you in to tge trap i always get a 1minute tamed dilo on turret mode abd long range and agressive to splat the giga and slow him down. Mean while i run behind and add 4th gate. Light up tranqs then add narcs and mutton. Boom. Solo tame

A effective way to knock out a giga is to have a tribe mate fly a quetz and let you grapple on to its chest that way you can tranq it from above and when it starts running you'll have a way to keep up with it and continue to tranq it.

When i wanted to tame one i guide it off of a cliff and it kept running away and looseing all of its torpor so i advise to use a trap or bear trap (large)

I didn’t even need traps to tame it all I needed was a tall cliff and to lure it over on my quetzal then shoot it with around 70-80 tranq arrows (the level of the giga affects how many you tranq arrows you need for a level example: you need 80-90 for a level 68 giga)

One suggestion if you do the bed trick BEFORE it’s knocked out it’s gonna cause huge food loss. Much more than starve or even doing the bed trick after knocking it out.

Why are the tranq amounts so broken for the giga it’s telling me it’s going to take 1,300 something shocking tranqs to take down a lvl 7 which is just not true

When you see this on fast creatures category and you went to test out if it really is fast..

So I killed a giga. How? First I lead it into the water. Next, I grabbed my tusto and drowned it. Really helps 👍

Ok so, since they only deal damage up to stone, you should grab metal gateways and a few bear LARGE bear traps. You want to use it like a bird trap: set the gateway in a row and BRING 2 METAL gate doors. Put a bear trap in the middle and open both doors at both ends lure the giga in the trap, you might want to put some points in speed and lure it in the trap. Wait till it’s in the bear trap then close both doors. Pelt it with tranq ammo and then feed it highest level of kibble or raw prime meat. Maintain it torpor with narcotics or bio toxin so it doesn’t wake up until it is tamed. Hoped this was helpful.

If you are looking to tame a giga always look for the highest lvl to tame. As long as you know how to trap it then you can tame it, just make sure to have the reasources.
