To kill a Giganotosaurus, a good lightning wyvern, managarmr, or even reaper is preferable. Wild Gigas regain lots of health from eating corpses, so try to clear the area. Make sure to always have an escape plan if things go south.

With the R-Giga if you plan on using a Tek Bow, take more shards than you think you will need, and HLNA's scan is glitching right now and estimating the Torpor to be lower than the dinosaur actually has/is. If it looks like the Giga is glitched, keep shooting. When you reach the actual torpor rate, it'll KO normally.

Do not turn your back on the Giga once asleep. Do not walk away from it while it's KO'd. The torpor can drop like a rock and no amount of berries or narcotics can max that torpor out again. The torpor drains too quickly. If you walk away, there is a chance your Giga will wake up and eat you. Ideally, make sure you have enough Narcotics or Narco berries to have rows and rows of them. Take a sheep/kibble with you to hunt them so it will be available so you don't need to leave. If you have to step away make it quick and force feed a stack of narcotics before you do so the torpor is going up instead of down. Nothing will Agro to the giga, but stuff will try to eat YOU. Plan accordingly. Happy hunting.

The amount of narcotics you need are most likely wrong. I used the amount it says for a 120. I used up 2 stacks of narcotics and a stack of biotoxins.

There is a cheap way to trap and knock out a giga

What you need:

1.) Find a flat surface (so that the trap works well)

2.) Get 4-5 metal billboards

3.) Get a flyer that can carry some creatures (e.x. argy, quetzal)

5.)A small creature that can place the billboard while mounted (e.x. dire wolf or raptor)

6.) Soothing balm X10 (if you are on mobile)

7.) Prime meat and Quetzal Kibble/Exceptional Kibble

8.) LOTS OF NARCOTICS/BIO TOXIN

And 9.) Lots of tranq arrows/tranq darts

Setting up the trap:

Find a flat surface with no creature in it then place 3 metal billboards at this shape \_/, after that go and pick up a creature so that the giga chase you then once its in the trap go and far away and ride the small creature (get far away so that the giga doesnt aggro to you) then place the billboard on the back and voila you have trapped the giga [Test if the giga is really trapped by making it chase you], lasty knock out the giga and maintain its torpor.

Go faster than sonic if you encounter one in the wild

Make sure to try to make a trap of some sort because the giga will torpor run when it's high on torpor. I tried taming a giga without a trap once and when it was torpor running it died because it ran in the water

How to survive a giga.

Firstly, you could be faster than your friend, but you don’t have friends so that won’t work. Maybe sacrifice some innocent dodo to save yourself.

Secondly, if you are on a mountain, parachute off and pray it loses agro. Though, you killed hundreds of innocent creatures before so better be lucky instead of good.

Thirdly, you can get full ascended gear and blast it to kingdom come. I’m talking full ascended tek, and maybe a few hundred c4s

That’s how you survive a giga.

I already tamed an giga at lv 78 and the tip was just get lots of tranquilizing darts and when he runs get into an area where he will get stuck while running and that's it easy tame. Btw be on top of an area that's above the length of him.

If you use the admin command cheat sdfride giga 0 1 you can be a giga

If u own a tamed Giga try to not fall of something because if it loses 1000hp or more instantly , it will rage. That means that it will throw u off the saddle and probably eat you, so be aware!!

The many ways to kill a wild giga:

Bite its tail with literally any flyer (Tapejara griffin or tropeo recommended)

Shoot it with a rifle from the back of a griffin/tapejara

Use a lightning/poison wyvern

Spit at it with a basilisk

Shoot it with a velonasaur on the back of a quetzal

Sic a titan on it

Lure it into deep water and use any aquatic dino

Freeze it with an ARK: Additions Cryolophosaurus and retreat when it unfreezes

Use hit-and-run tactics to bleed it to death with a speed leveled carno

Shoot it with a tek saddle (preferably tapejara or rock drake)

Blow it to hell with a saddled Tropeognathus

Press tab and type 'kill' while looking directly at the giga

Very good melee when tamed but health is nerfed
