I suggest get a femal giga to lure a male in and knock it out while they are loving eachother. The male wont attack you.

Super easy to knock out and take. Get yourself a wooden club to keep it knocked out and feed it stimulant when you knock it out, at least 100, to speed up taming. Piece of cheesecake.

I love these giant carnivores! They can be found easily on the center at lava island on the back side. I have struggled to tame one, but I am planning to soon. Have 35 raw prime, 50+ tranque darts or 100+ arrows, and 500+ narcotics.

Have a tribe member or alliance member fly a quetzal with a platform saddle you stand on the back and unload tranq darts.

Gigas are one of the best tames a new survivor can get. Just alk up to it with any meat, pat it on the beg, and you're... yeah nevermind.

If you find passive tames boring (passive takes about 2minutes) then use a slingshot and headshot it's couple times and it should do the trick!
